Something was going to have to give. I could be tinkering around with H until the cows come home. At some point, the line between tinkering and writing has to be crossed. I crossed that line a couple of hours ago and wrote the prologue to H. A thousand 63 words later, I liked what I got. I’ll be putting together maybe 2k for today. That’s my goal.
Anne made me a great Anges beef burger and fries for a late supper. It’s the end of January and I’ve got the window open. It’s about -4C out there. However that’s going to be changing on Monday. We could be going into the deep freeze for a couple of days.
I was thinking about going down to the mall today but I realized that we won't get up out of bed until about 1pm later today. By the time we get brunch out of the way it's going to be 3pm. I'm going to do this for sure next weekend because Saturday, I'll be downtown anway.
After brunch this afternoon I'll be hard at work on H. By this time next Sunday I hope to have 10K completed. I don't have every scene mapped out. I had to leave some scenes blank to fill in with artistic license. I need some room for creativity. I don't think I'll be able to make use of those word meter bars Markus made for me. I still haven't figured them out yet.
I got this from the Coast website. Seems a Satellite will hit earth Government officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, revealed that a U.S. spy satellite has lost power and propulsion and is expected to crash to Earth in late February or March. It is unknown where on the planet the satellite might come down. "We are looking at potential options to mitigate any possible damage this satellite may cause," said Gordon Johndroe, a spokesman for the National Security Council.
Over the last several years I’ve been keeping an eye on the enigma known as John de Ruiter. De Ruiter for those of you not familiar is Edmonton’s answer to the original Guru. People that flock to hear him, say he is the next Messiah. I don’t know about that. It’s interesting to note though that we have such colorful characters like that here in Edmonton.
Anyway that's all for now.
