Currently it’s -30/-46C out there. The figure to the left of the/is the wind chill factor. What it feels like. The streets and sidewalks aren’t cleared off. Anne’s worried about me coming back and forth from the lrt. Ordinarily I’d tell her to mind her own business but she’s right. The parking lot where I have to walk won’t be cleared until tonight and same goes for the sidewalks up Jasper from Corona station and along 106th st. Businesses will be clearing that off today. I don’t even know how the buses will be running. We had power outages over night in some parts of the city.

I was listening to a great show on the UFO sighting in Texas on Coast when about 3:30am Coast went off the air. I recall last time we had a deep freeze last year I returned to the office the pipes busted and we had water all over the place. 630 CHED our local Chorus talk radio station here that gives me Coast every night, went off the air due to a power failure.

I got up at 5am to do the cbi thing and I went to listen in for the traffic and weather report on the radio when I came back to bed. There were some school closures today in the outlying areas of the City. I don’t know if City schools were affected but CHED said they were power outages at various parts of the City over night. CHED is on the same street as our office, slightly East of us by a few blocks. It’s not so much going into work it’s the long wait for the bus home. I’m not going to stand around freezing to death waiting for the buses which will be late tonight. I want to watch all of wrestling not miss the first half hour waiting for a bus. I could walk it home but that Super Store parking lot will be tough going and I’d freeze to death in that -46 wind chill. Nope, tonight, I’m staying home. I think. The East Indian kids don’t have to worry because they are right on the lrt line. They don’t have to take a connecting bus. They also have no choice to work because of their working Visa. They’re allowed to get sick of course like Jay was last week.

I’m enjoying my coffee here. Too bad about CHED going off air. They had a great show. They had a couple of investigators from MUFON Alejandro Rojas & Ken Cherry. The thing about these cases that lends them credibility is that the witnesses all have seen pretty well the same thing. Their stories are consistent. The witnesses are not people half drunk coming out of a bar in the middle of the night. Or people think that they've seen something. They seem to be decent level headed most of them older then 30 and a lot of professionals. So what’s going on? The 2 reporters made some compelling arguments that leaves me thinking a bit differently about UFO’s. I usually dismiss these people that come onto Coasts Open Lines and say they saw an object late at night. But the two investigators offered up the Roswell incident when the military at the Air base there said in a press release, they had captured a disk. Then they go and say it’s a weather balloon. Then there’s the Phoenix lights incident March 1997. Very similar to the events in Texas. Seen by lots of credible people. The military kept changing it’s story. Now with the Texas incident, same thing. Then they admit they had 10 F16’s in the area. Sure there is the Presidential Airspace in the area but they kept changing their story as the days after the incident went on. At one pint they said: “Oh it was a couple of Jet Airliners almost parallel to each other.” That was quickly dismissed. Then they said it was something else. Then they finally admitted they had F16’s in the area. The witnesses have more credibility then the military it seems.

Does this mean I believe were being visited by Spielberg’s? Hardly. I believe what’s going on here is the military have advanced aircraft they’re not willing to disclose. Some of these objects witnesses say are as large as a several football fields. The military is testing something pretty exotic aircraft up there and they know they can’t keep the lid on whatever it is they’re doing closed for ever. Many of the Phoenix lights witnesses say they observed black triangular like objects. I think these things are sub orbital airbases of some kind coming in for ground maintenance. It’s no conspiracy folks.

It’s no secret the big story here this week is the weather. There are people out and about. You just need to dress warm for it that’s all. Lot’s of people are going into work today but I imagine a lot are staying home. ETS seems to be running as usual. I’m being a bit wishy-washy about going in. I think I should. I might surprise myself that it might not be as bad as I think If Anne can go in, I can go in. Id be surprised if Rob went in. People that have cars and live downtown, it's eay for them. Greg, Moe, Dawn, Brendan, all live downtown. The East Indian kids, on the lrt line. Thing with my wife is she want's me home tonight because she doens't have to make me a sandwich for tonight. I'd feel bad if the office was full tonight from everyone else there but me. Rob: "Your here tonight aren't you?" "The roads are all cleared tonight." I want to go in because I missed Saturday. I don't want to go in because Anne's right, one of us should stay home tonight. I can always say we had a power outage and even Anne was home. Ok, I'm decided. I'm home tonight.

Anyway, that’s all for now.

Jim
