That was the weekend |
|
I had a nice weekend and it was even productive as well. I already covered Saturday but today I got up at noon and did some website stuff. We finally got the Blog on the front page where it belongs. Even the Last 10 stories work.
I managed to get a bit of reading in as well this afternoon before Anne made another fantastic brunch. She really does a good job with those.
Basically she started laundry around noon and it’s just wrapping up even now. She washes everything so she should be finished by midnight.
Before supper I got into practicing some more on the A section of the Star Wars Theme. I’m even doing some left hand stuff as well and it’s not going so bad. After this I want to learn Golden brown by The Stranglers. It’s rather advanced for me buy I’m up for the challenge.
The only thing I didn’t get done is any writing but I’ll be working on that when I get up about 11am tomorrow morning. Once I put in the extra hours, I doubt I’ll be able to get more then 500-1000 words/day on H.
Earlier I’ve been researching what video card I’ll need to support World of Warcraft as I hope to get into playing that soon. After all this website is about “Worlds of Science Fiction and Fantasy in your face.” What I’ve been thinking about is the possibility of having a WoW webcam. I don’t know if this is even feasible. But assuming it is, I’d like to firstly have something that will let visitors here know that I am WoW online. The idea of the webcam is it will let visitors see where I am and what I’m doing. I wouldn’t want to see my stats or have access to my inventory etc. Maybe I can do this with a video capture card or something.
Anne made us a nice shepherds pie for supper and the laundry is almost completed. I think after this, I’d like to post this and go to bed early. Maybe listen to a bit of Coast. George Noory welcomes Chairman of the Center for Ancient Astronaut Researcher Giorio Tsoukalos will discuss numerous unexplained phenomena around the world, past and present. First Hour: 'Ghostbuster Mary Ann Winkowski provides an update. Everything up to the 1st hour is good.
For those new here, I compose these entry’s in MS Works word processor. There is no grammar checker but the spell checker is fairly decent. I give the post a once over, make sure there are no spelling mistakes and other strange typos. I then cut and paste in to the story editor. Often, I’ll ad lib after I edit so there may be some typos at that end. My grammar isn’t the best but then that’s what publishers have copy editors for. Also, I have a lot of private thoughts that are off record and those will stay that way. I may talk a lot but I won’t give out my life story as well.
For today, it’s off to work and in which case we’ll be listening to the Oiler’s hosting the Flames game in between calls. Plus it’s another Monday night Raw. Always a good time. As for the Oiler’s there is a slim chance they could make the playoffs but I’m not holding my breath. With 28 games left, my Oiler play off hopes are doubtful. The Oiler’s need a big time goal scorer. But the Ovichkin’s, Kovalchuck’s and the Iginla’s are all spoken for. Even Oiler hopeful Dustin Penner only has 15 goals. What about Ryan Smyth the hopeful for Colorado? He’s injured and had 11 goals. There’s not a lot of goal scoring in today’s NHL.
The other thing I’m noticing about my Google ad is that it is misbehaving oddly. I can post this and on the posting page the Google ad reads normally: Something to do with Science Fiction. For some reason on the front page it doesn’t. Strange.
Anyway, that’s all for now.
