Sunday and 4 hours |

A strange Ahhh moment just came occurred to me. Here is my original copy of the 1977 “Book of The Law.” Liber CCXX. It’s been handled a few times but it is in very good condition. That’s it on the left of this photo. The book right next to it, also blue, is my Masonic handbook of all the craft rituals. I paid $12 bucks for it. "The Book of the Law" was given to me for free. I find it odd that they are both the same size and are blue. I received the Book of the Law edition back in 1981 27 years ago. This is now a collectors item. CCXX is availible at most occult book stores and is online lots of places. I’ve also seen older Masonic ritual books a bit older then my 2002 edition but not online. The Ahhh moment I’m asking is why is it that “occult-like-manuals” be blue and small? Since Freemasonry predates Thelema I’m left pondering was the overall format and style of “The book of the Law” was designed to flatter Masonry or trying to be like Masonry?
Well after a 4 month hiatus Neal Asher is back bloging again. Seems he’s been living in Create. Asher also writes how he has prepared a new short story for “The New Space Opera 2.” Sounds good to me. I’m about half way through this book and so far based upon this one. I'll buy the next one.
So I’m up in the morning to do my cbi thing and then out of here at 12:45pm for Audrey’s books and then into work for my first ever Sunday shift because I missed Saturday. Anne apparently wants to come down and pick me up after work. If the shift is from 2-6pm then I hope to be home by 7pm.
Well, we all knew it was going to happen Edmonton/Calgary for the grudge match. Our team held Calgary off the scoreboard up until the end of the first period and it was all Calgary after that. You can’t do much when the shot clock read 15-30 at the end of the game. Calgary was clearly the better team. The bright spot in the game for the Oilers was Nilsson spoiled Kiprusoff's shutout bid on a breakaway with 3:55 left in the game. That was sweet.
We need someone that can put goals in the net. Horcoff was our best bet and on his way to replace Ryan Smyth. Until we get a 31 goal guy we’ll always be mediocre at best and make the playoffs ever couple of years but at least we did a bit better then Calgary did when they were here last Monday. 4-1 reads better then 5-0 but to be fair to the Flames, they had Cujo in net and that worked to our advantage.
Weather wise it’s going to get to a "nice"-18C with no wind chill this afternoon. That wont be so bad going in. I’ll probably take my insulin when I get home or better yet have Anne bring down a sandwich for me and my insulin and I’ll take it right after work. It could be a bit problematic but it’s not like I’m going to be doing this every Sunday. Coast is going to be another lame show tonight. I'll be in bed by 2:45am.
Seems they had quite the gathering at Robert J Saywer's residence last night. Sub's, pizza, platters and about a 100 people showed up. He should take this gathering on the road and have local SF Fans and authors over at someone's place for a night. Say do this in 5-6 sellect cities. Maybe hosted by a book store or convention. I'm thinking $20 a head to cover costs of everything and what's left over go to charity or something like that. I would have loved to have gone to this thing but it's in Mississauga.
Also earlier, I managed to get some practicing done but Anne was in the way doing her vacuuming. This was before the game. She got a free bag of chips having something to do with price checking or something like that. All in all, I'm having a nice weekend, so far.
Anyway, that’s all for now.
