A previous edit and last entry for today. |

I did another edit job on the last entry. I shut everything down and made sure I did so a couple of times, locking everything up before I left here at 9am this morning. I was out the door under overcast skies. The wind chill was notable and the winds were gusting as well. I got to my train and put my headphones in and listened to my music. I brought my camera along with me as well. All was right in the world. I got my breakfast sandwich at Tim’s and took the Jasper Ave East way and South along 106th for the block and a half distance. The winds were incredibly gusting. I got the same dialer from last night and enjoyed my breakfast. Then just before 10am in walks Danny. Nice enough fellow but started to give me heck for taking his seat. I ignored him and stood my ground. “I don’t see a name tagged to your seat.” He was still squawking about it when JT rolled in. Then Brendan gathers Danny, JT, and 2 others to take the other 4 dialers in the back on the other side and he was going to run a burnt out CBF list. I was able to keep my seat after all. I’m not going to be pushed around for a guy that comes in every other Saturday when I’m there every Saturday (well almost). These are some of the childish things I have to put up with around there.
I ended up pulling in $565 and a $50 and a $25 credit card sale. That’s 16 for $32 in bonuses next week added on to my full shift. So that will help. I showed some of the staff there my photo’s on my camera. We got out half an hour again and I had a chat with Moe there for a bit and Sundeep showed me his camera. I didn‘t know digital cameras came with lithium batteries. He said it takes him 30 minutes to charge his camera. It takes me 8-10 hours to charge my batteries and they leak like crazy. I could leave it for a week and not use it and the batteries would be drained. Plus he’s got a bigger viewing area then I have. He even paid the same price for his camera then I mine but he’s got a 7 Mp camera. Mines only 4.
On the train I gave Charles a call he said he tried to call but he couldn’t get a holed of me. Sometimes my phone will ring and when I get to it the caller is gone with no time to leave a voice mail. I have to have it on to receive a voice mail message. Anne said I can do that with my phone, leave it on but don’t answer it. I just check the number under calls received and call on the land line phone.
I’m a bit behind with my 2nd insulin shot today by about 4 hours. But I’m going to be having my supper around game time. This way Anne doesn’t need to make me a late snake/lunch.
Out from “The New Space Opera” I’m currently reading this story by Stephan Baxter. It doesn’t grab me like the last two did. There doesn’t seem to be any flow to the story. I’ve enjoyed 3 stories out of the last 12 so far and I’ve got 6 more stories to go including this one. I’m hoping for some more gems from this other then banal reading experience. Next up is “Night Train to Rigel” by Timothy Zhan. It looks like a fun read.
Anyway, that’s all for now
