Oh for the love of God! I can’t even spell properly out side Words spell check when I have the flu. Uggh. I went back to edit the last entry. I’m having my first coffee of the day. I did my blog rounds to check in on the worlds of Science Fiction.

Alright here’s an update on my flu. Every time when I lye flat on my back as in bed, this flu activates sever bronchial coughing episodes. This hurts my chest under my left breast and my back left shoulder blade. It’s only when I lye down I get these coughing episodes but when I prop myself up on the couch and put my feet up on the coffee table I can pass out no problem. I watched “Smokey and the Bandit 2” this morning. I love this series. Anne has her “Austin Powers” fascination I have my “Smokey and the Bandit” fascination. Austin is more Science Fiction based then “Smokey” ever was of course, The first “Smokey” move was arguably the best of the 3. I also watched 2 episodes of OPPP, one on the stern wheelers of Lake Okanogan and other stern wheelers of the Kootney’s. Great show. The other one was kind of lame about logging. I tried going back to bed but all I did was cough and hurt my back and chest. I listened to as much as Coast as I could with William Henry. Good stuff.

Basically on Coast the topic was the CERN particle accelerator. Russian physicist are saying when CERN comes on line in May of this year the first thing physicists want to do at CERN is to create a black hole, which apparently will set up the "conditions" at the moment of the big bang. Apparently no other particle accelerator has had the power to create a black hole before this. So these Russian physicists are saying that when the CERN people do this, they will effectively create a wormhole, real Science Fiction like stuff. Essentially CERN will become a time travel device. I don't know about that. There are some concerns: What if they cant control this black hole? There are a lot of unknown factors here. I listened to Coast for as much as my coughing episodes would allow.

I don’t think one day off work is going to make a difference but if I’m taking any day off work this week, let it be Friday night. This way I can get my pay cheque and let Moe know, I’m taking Friday night off. This way I can watch the Oiler/Dallas game and get some sleep.

I don’t talk about it very often but I am an amateur JFK assassination researcher. By now a lot of you have heard the story that broke this Monday of a safe. The safe was “discovered” in a Dallas county Law courts office. Apparently in the safe there is a transcript of a conversation between Oswald and Jack Ruby that took place on the evening of October 4th 1963 at Ruby’s Carousel club. It seems District Attorney Henry Wade had received an offer to do a movie script about the assassination weekend etc. But why only focus on that small aspect of the case? It seems to me if your going to write a script treatment especially of something of this nature, you start at the beginning. How come there was no mention of Oswald and his easy access in and out of the country to Russia? We don’t get to see anything on Oswald in New Orleans, only this one page transcript of a conversation between Oswald and Ruby October 4th. The other thing here is Oswald’s where-about's have been accounted for on that day. He was in Irving with his wife Maria and that was on the weekend of Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Also in the safe was Ruby’s pistol holder, the one he shot Oswald with. Today Ruby’s pistol is in the hands of a private collector. The thing is, what if this transcript wasn’t a face to face meeting but a transcript over the phone? Oswald received a lot of calls leading up to the event of the assassination weekend. Could this transcript have been a recorded call? The FBI had Oswald under surveillance way before the assassination weekend. The FBI  in 1963 had the capability to wiretap phone lines. They did it with Martin Luther King. But I doubt Oswald would be that sloppy. It’s possible that this transcript was put in the safe but what about the other portions of the script? But I’m just speculating here. I’m not a conspiracy theorists or a Warren Commission supporter. It seems that Wade never went through with the deal to do a full script. This leads me to ask, why would Wade write a treatment of the script that sets the case up for a conspiracy? Why write it all?  

Not much writing done on H lately. Right now I’m reading a Robert Silverburg story in “The New Space Opera.” If it wasn't for getting sick like this I would have completed this novel a month ago. But I got a cold in January and the flu in February. And I was ok there for awhile there and now this. I hope to do some work on H tomorrow when I’m off. Maybe one night off the phones will make a difference. If anything it’ll catch up on my sleep.
