I'm having a rare Friday off

I had a much better evening on the job then Wednesday night. Less coughing and hacking. I felt a bit better as well. We ended up doing AES semies. I thought, Oh God here we go. I decided to semi tap them. Most of the calls were Calgary and Southern Alberta. I was doing ok in the 2nd half at $215 and I thought I was doing good. Some of the East Indian kids were hundreds of dollars ahead of me. Oh my. The 2nd half I did a lot better and although I didn’t get any credit card sales I had the best semi total I think I’ve ever had there at Xl. I got my cheque for the full amount and all my bonuses. So this tells me that if I do all my hours, I qualify to receive all of them. $32 bucks is $32 bucks right? After work I ended up talking with Moe about not to expect me in for tomorrow night as I’m still suffering with this flu. He’ll pass that along to Rob when he comes in at 5pm.

If everything goes well and there’s no complications, then I should have tomorrow off where I can catch up on my sleep and watch a bit of the Oiler game.

Anyways I missed the lodge meeting last night. I always try and let Neil know not to expect me. But I’d forgotten. If I felt better, I would have gone to the lodge meeting last night.

Looking at the Oiler game schedule I get to watch the game tonight (If I don’t pass out) and then there’s another game as Denver is in town Sunday. The Oiler’s are going to give a special tribute to the “Longest game in history” that was held at Shakers Acres raising funds for the Cross cancer clinic. The game lasted 10 full days last week. Good stuff.

I got the chills again last night and still do. I tried resting under the covers to warm up that did nothing for me. I stumbled onto listen to “Wild Bill Hitchcock” and his side kick jingles on old time radio. That was fun.

Right now I’m drinking my lemon relief and I hope this helps a bit. I’ll take another aspirin and penicillin while having our 11pm lunch.

Several things going on for March. March 3rd is the Provincial election. Then Sunday March 9th is the change over to daylight savings time. More importantly to all of this is my wife’s birthday. Also, there’s Wrestlemanina and I can’t wait for that. The month of march has a lot of things in it.

My friend Keith Graham on his Blog wants to know what other science fiction bloggers have to say about some of the most usefull modern inventions. Some are probably already taken. Ok, here’s my list:

Artificial sweetener

The cell phone

The computer

Velcro

Aspirin

X ray machine

YouTube

Ok J, over to you.

Hey, because I got a full pay cheque and all my bonuses. Other then being sick, I had a perfect day and Anne's giving me another $20 so I can save towards getting some Ram.

Anyway, that’s all for now

e. Jim
