Another Saturday

it was tough going into work this morning. I have this kind of arthritis like pain in under my left shoulder blade. It’s still there but not so bad. I got into the office and I felt like death warmed over. Danny was sitting there in my night time spot/station. That’s his daytime station. I don’t do mornings very well. I sat beside him in Sever’s station. I had my breakfast sandwich and opened up to Danny a bit more after that. JT came in we had a good crew. AES semies again. Brendin had a go home early goal for us, which we would not know until once we hit it. If we hit the target goal we’d go home half an hour early. I ended up with about $370 by break and really opened it up in the 2nd half to end up with $665 and 1 credit card sale. Getting a $50 and a $100 sale didn’t hurt either. Management doesn’t like doing us the 1 minute/credit card thing any more because it’s compromising their average sale or something like that. But we still have the $2 every credit card thing going on. I also found out that the trip to Vegas thing is something Head Office pays for and it's not outof the staff social fund. Probably this is the same contest going on for every other office in the US and Canada as well. I’m surprised I did as well as I did today actually. Anne called about 1:30pm as Moe and Brendin called totals. I closed off on money with Anne on my cell. I called Anne back after “totals.” just to let her know how my day was going etc.

I didn’t do any coughing or hacking at all. Actually at the time and right now, I feel pretty good. I called Audrey’s books and none of my books on order came in yet. I asked Moe if he took care of things with Rob Friday night and he said it won’t be an issue. Mainly because I was in today. I was stumbling to take the fire escape exit out by the pop machine and I found a Tooney on the floor. Nobody was around so I scooped it up.

A couple of cat photo’s for you folks. Sporty our salt and pepper somewhat Siamese 4 year old loves to snuggle in the kitchen sink. I’ve been trying to get a shot of him for awhile now but every time I do he jumps out and follows me. Fortunately I was able to recharge my camera batteries last night and I was lucky enough to capture this image:

Anne came back from her Pinky errand and just stepped out to head down to Pet Smart for some dry cat food. I worry about her when she goes off running around like this all the time. That corner at 50th and 137th is a busy intersection. Here’s cat photo #2. Silky (11 years old) is the dark gray cat and Pledges my 17 year old on the other side of the couch. Where Silky sits in this photo is where I’ve been for the last 4 day’s with my feet up on the coffee table coughing and hacking. Not feeling very well.

Yesterday was pretty good and I’m glad I had it off and ordered the Oiler/Dallas PPV game. My way of supporting my team. Yikes, to bad the Oiler’s lost but they did it to themselves by sloppy play, kind of like my blog writing lately. If the first part reads sloppy, wait awhile as I'm most likely editing it. The game last night should have gone into a shoot out. But clearly the Stars were the better team last night. Standings wise, the Oiler’s are almost the worst team in the league and that's hard to say. With 20 games left in the regular season any hopes of them making the playoffs this year are slim to none. Losing Horcoff to injury is what did them in. Penner scored for his 18th. He got 29 with Anaheim last year but look who he had to play with this time last year.

I went to bed last night about 1am after watching a bit of ECW and listened to Coast's Open Lines. Linda Morton Howe was on last night. I listened to that for awhile and at 2:45am I couldn’t sleep. Anne wanted me home for the weekend but Rob was clearly pissed off with me Tuesday. I’d be pushing it by taking any more time off then needed. I went back to bed and my cell phone alarm woke me up at 7:15am. I got 4 hours of sleep in. I tried to get a nap in when I came home but no dice. I’ll have to wait until this evening and I’ll take a gravel pill.

There’s no Oiler game on tonight, so it means I can get some writing done. Usually when I write I’m doing research at the same time. Writing is more of a priority then a game of course but I only watch the Oiler games. As for wrestling, I only watch Raw because Smackdown isn’t Live.

As I fired up the computer I began to do a bit of piano practicing. Just mostly scaling nothing elaborate or anything. I want to try and get the other chord section of the Star Wars theme. It’s the opening part where the 2 pieces repeat before the next section. I’m sure you know it. I know the first part to the Imperial March and I have the notes for a much larger part of that. I want to be learning more of that as well tonight time permitting.

Of course tomorrow night is the Ave’s at Oiler’s game and I’m going to enjoy that. The Oiler’s might not make the play offs this year but it’s because of injuries. No team can be 100 % healthy and injury free of course but Horcoff was our main goal scorer. If the Oiler go on a winning streak and can win all of their next 20 games, then they have a shot at the playoffs but it’s a long one at best.

I don't know how much writing I'll get done tonight, if any. Sunday is my big writing day.

Anyway, that’s all for now

e. Jim
