Working out the week

My wife Anne came into work with me yesterday afternoon and walked up with me to the corner of 106th st. She had to go to her Doctor and I was hoping she’d book me an appointment so I can get ready to transfer my medical information over to her Doctor. I’ve had my Doctor in that location since 1990. I was still in my 30’s! She continued on up to the next building past the bank and I moved on South along 106th to work. I met JT and Gary out front on their way to get their Tim’s coffee. I got to my station and hunted for a headset and dialer box and read from my latest read Timothy Zahan’s “Night train to Rigel.” I should have it read by the end of the month. I brought my coffee with me and had a cup getting ready for work. Rob and his new Hummer are the laughing stock of the whole office. Nobody is jealous of him or anything like that. This latest Toy of his might be at the expense of everyone else and that’s what makes it the brunt of humor. The office must be doing well if the boss can afford a Hummer at 9 mpg! A Hummer H2 fuel capacity is 32 gallons. Does this mean that H2 owners can go 4 miles before they have to fuel up again? Somehow that doesn’t make sense. Hummer owners get huge tax breaks in the US. Anyway, I had a good night on the job. The call out was $1,000! I was at $400 by break and I ended up with a hearty $730 and a $35 and a $100 credit card sale. Right now I’ve written about $3,000 in credit card sales ytd. I was glad to get out of there walking to the LRT station with one of the East Indian kids. Him Sundeep and JT are going to Vegas with Rob. I think they said March 17th. This is on the company’s ticket and not on Rob’s. If it was on Robs, they’d never go.

I got a Pizza update from Anne as she said she was going to go to Rosebowl for our pick up. She’d have to take the bust to Clairview get off at Corona and catch a bus to something like 116th st. We’ve been there before. They cut their pizza in squares. I got home to do some admin stuff and waited for Raw. Wrestlemanina rewind from last year. My show started at 11pm and would go to 2am for the Raw encore. The Pizza came at 11:15pm. Anne heated it up in the oven and I enjoyed that and 3 hours of wrestling. It was a great show. On a scale of 1-10, I’d rate it an 8.5. Vince gets his star on the “Hollywood hall of fame?” Wow!

Still trying to place non photo images on my site. Markus only got me half way there. GL does images differently then most other CMS’s. I emailed him several times last night but in an uncharacteristic fashion of him he hasn’t replied. He says I just link to the image. Link where? Hyperlink? He gave me the code but I don’t know where it goes. Please explain!

Anne’s scheduled for work tonight but her place of employment just called her cell phone now. She might have to call them back and no doubt they’ll tell her that work for tonight has been canceled. I still think she should go for work at Pizza. At least it’s steady. As for me, I’ll be in at my usual time. I’ll read on the train in. Apparently the boys are playing Saint Louis tonight. We really need to win this game and put some distance between us and them. Vancouver won the other night and that doesn’t help our cause. So, I’ll be following the scores on that and maybe even get a chance to catch the middle of the 3rd period.

Last night I had a customer on the phone talking about AES. She even gave me the address and it’s apparently in the same building as us but it’s a different organization. Easter Seals is a generic term. This group is called AES for kids and they have a mail campaign. This hurts us because were Alberta Easter Seals as well but we don’t send out blanket mail. We ask for a specific amount. The customer when they receive this envelope they get to fill out their own amount. Their located on the 14th floor in our building. Does Rob even know anything about this? The problem is the name. Alberta Easter Seals should have this name patented much like the WWF did against the World Wildlife Fund scumbags over their name but that’s another story. So the World Wildlife Fund got to keep their name and the WWE had to change theirs. Thing is there are a lot of groups using the term “Easter Seals”. When our Alberta Easter Seals began back in 1951, that was the time that AES should have filed for a patent on the name. It’s too late for that now.

Again I didn’t get any writing done over the last number of days. I’m going to, when I get home. H has a lot of potential and is one of the best concepts I’ve come up with. May 31st is still my deadline date. Beyond H I’m working on a space opera trilogy. Only this time, when and if I get it completed I’m going to market it in an Omnibus format. I realize this is a publishing decision but I’m tired of broken trilogies on bookstore shelves. Orson Scott Card has his “Endgame” and “Beyond Endgame” in boxed formats. I like this idea. It’s a little pricey for me at $27 even after parity pricing and the gst. I’d call it my one book for the month even though it’s in a boxed format of 3. Next time I get $30 together I’m picking it up. I’ve got about $10 and if I get $20 this weekend and the set is still there, I’ll buy it.

Anyway, that’s all for now

e. Jim
