What happened yesterday |
|
We got out of here to go to the library downtown to get our taxes done yesterday morning about 7am. I brought my book to read, Anne got us a coffee and a 3 hour wait later we finally saw someone and got the taxes done. Finally, net filed to Winnipeg and out of here. I’m going to be getting about $315 back. As tired as I was Anne wanted took me to lunch and we decided on Rickie’s. We each had the bacon cheese burger platter and Cola. Good stuff. Then we popped into The Source had a look at their HDTV’s. All they had on display were the 42”. They were rather small. Then we caught the train home and I had a nap and decided to stay home the rest of the afternoon but I couldn’t sleep what with only having 3 hours the night before. Anne talked me into staying home Monday night. I watched Raw and enjoyed that. A very emotional farewell address ending the career of Ric Flair.
Here’s one of the pictures I included on that cold grey morning last Saturday on my way into work. You can see my bus pulling up with the orange lighted sign but you might have to enlarge the photo in your Picture Viewer. If you look carefully on the lane nearest this shot youl'll see the bus approaching. I even used full zoom on this shot:
Anyway I’m going to watch the news and then go to bed maybe about 1am. I’d like to get out of here and head in for the 1:30pm shift but Anne want's me to leave at my reguar time. This week is Lodge night as well. We’re presenting a member with his 60 year bar, wow. Also a recruitment visit from the Shrine club. If I'm going to become active in another lodge, it's going to be Royal Arch. Hopefully this year.
Speaking of music (Shriners) I called Giovanni music this afternoon and got a quote on their piano lessons. It’s $19.50 for a half hour. They have a Saturday afternoon slot from 3:30pm. With working the extra hours I’ll be able to do this.
I’m really enjoying this book Ut. Right now I’m at the halfway mark. I should have this book completed reading on Sunday. I’m reading a book about every 12 days now. That will only improve but I want quality over quantity.
Has the year gone by this quickly? Hard to believe it’s April 1st right now. Ok, on my plate for today, it’s into the job thing and get shit from Rob waiting in the wind for me for missing Monday. I’ll be following the Calgary at Edmonton game hoping the Oil will win this one. Not much going on today.
On Coast Tuesday night, (now) researcher Glenn Kimball talks about an asteroid that hit Sodom & Gomorrah (see feature article on the Coast site). Anthropologist specializing in 'Star Seed' children, Dr. Richard Boylan will discuss the announcement that 12 environmental scientists from the planet Altimar have now arrived on Earth. Sounds like a great show.
Late Monday afternoon I ended up discovering my subscription too Norton antivirus is down, so I decided to go download Norton from Google packs. I downloaded the basic virus protection and “Spy Doctor” so it runs whenever I have a potential threat. It’s a good clean download. Google is really impressing me a lot lately. They’ve bought Facebook and now Norton, YouTube and if that isn’t enough I think they are even going to make a bid to acquire Blackberry since hearing buzz about a Google cell phone. That’s just my guess. How to become a tech millionaire? Invent a killer application, let the public scoop it up and fly it in the face of Google. I got a funny feeling Google is going to take over a big name tech giant this year. Yahoo maybe? What’s next Google Entertainment? You heard it here first.
Anyway Bloggers, that’s all for now.
