Last Sunday post for today |
|
I got up about noon and cleaned up a little. Anne left the coupon on the table for my haircut. I got dressed and went out the door to the barber:
It was really nice out there. Warm. Three people were ahead of me. I brought my camera, my cell phone and my book Ps to read while I waited. I was sweating like a pig as well. It took the hair stylist (that’s what they call barbers these days.) all but 10 minutes to get my hair cut. And it looks pretty good. With the coupon it came to $7.00 and some change. I can’t complain about that. I recall in the 80’s paying $7 for a haircut at Ron Reads barber shop in the basement of the old Cecil hotel before it got gutted. A haircut now costs $16. I asked about seniors discounts but that’s at 65. I can wait.
It was really warm out there on my way back and I took this shot from where I’ve been. I was feeling pretty good that I was having a nice start to the day and in the mood to do a bit of piano practicing. Anne called me as I was working my way to the entrance of the little park like pathway dividing us and Edmonton housing. The ground is still a little bit damp out there. You can see some plastic bags that litter and pollute what is other wise a nice little park:
Just before heading inside I took this shot of the 50th/137th street intersection. That’s the Manning bridge in the background:
Anne really liked my haircut. I do as well. I fired up the computer (5 minutes Vs 45 min) what a difference. Still learning how to play Star Wars and other things. Speaking of Star Wars, Anne has the 1997 remake on. I hated the remake. Nothing is as good as the original. That whole remake trilogy sucked.
About 4:30pm I began to get ready for breakfast and Anne and I got into a woozy of a fight. She brought it on herself. These things usually peter out after abut 30-40 minutes and return to normal after awhile once she gets it out of her system. We’re back to normal.
In about 40 minutes from now I’m watching the SJ/Flames game. I’m looking forward to this. I got a big old bag of Cheese Pleasers and peace in the valley. For now.
Anyway Bloggers, that’s all for now
