Some stuff today

I left out of here shortly before 9am thinking I’d forgot to turn something off or left something behind. I think Friday night/Saturday morning I might have had all but 3 hours of sleep.Biting wind but my bus came by right away. I got my bus out there with this in the back of my mind. I read some more out of Ps on the train in. I got my Tim’s breakfast sandwich and then I realized, I had forgotten my insulin, carp!

Well I had my breakfast and staff gradually filed in. I asked Brendan if there was any stipulation about credit card sale bonuses and missing shifts. He said no. I asked Moe the same thing and he said “no” as well and he’d bonus me my missing bonus (the $22) on my next cheque. Good. I felt better. We did CRF and I tweaked my spiel a bit and that first hour I was well into $160 but I couldn’t move my total after that. For about an hour I got nothing!  Again no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn’t get credit card sales in the first half. I ended up with $160 by break, slightly fatigued. Then we switched over to AAF and I was having better luck switching my spiel as well. Anne had called near the last half hour saying how she was working her way over to the bank as they had a drop in Saturday window from 1-4pm. Ok.

Finally immediately after that call from Anne, I got a $25 Visa. So that’s 5 credit card sales on the week. If none of them kick out, I should have $32 in credit card bonuses next week.

I was relieved when the shift finally ended just before 2pm. I was tired and feeling fatigued from the lack of sleep catching up with me. Outside holy crap, a blizzard was developing. That’s when Anne called to give me the bad news that she couldn’t get out her pension funds without a hardship form/case. I "walked her over"  through the parkade in this freak blizzard. So much for AGW! She said on Monday while I’m doing the AHC thing, she’s going to get her pension funds through a hardship form, again. It’s no big deal. She was hoping all she needs do is to go to the bank now that she hit the fund age of maturity doesn’t work like that anymore, unless she was diabetic. She mentioned how her husband (me) is and this may provide us with a loophole. I don’t know how she’s going to go about this though.

I caught the South train at Corona to HSC and doubled back. Too exhausted to read on my trip home.

The blizzard was still developing. I had a bit of a wait in the east side Clairview bus shelter and my bus came along and after a brief wait it pulled out quicker then I had expected. Good. I did some admin stuff at home. Anne came in and I explained how I forgot to take my insulin with me. She made me some cheese on toast and I took my shot and went to bed for a nap. I didn’t get much of a nap either noticing the clock reading about 5:30pm. Habs at Bruins game 6. What a game. But by 8pm I was all hockey’d out. The Wild/Ave’s game looked good but Sunday is the SJ/Flames for game 6. I had other things to do.

So it looks like we may have to wait a bit before we get the HD LCD TV. I have a feeling sometime in May. I want to get the PS3. Basically I want to get a video capture card and link that to the TV from my computer. Create a block for a screen so you can follow my character adventures in real time while I’m playing “Oblivion,” etc. I’m not exactly sure how I’m going to do this. This site is supposed to be about Science Fiction and Fantasy. Mostly my site is fueled by my blog. When we get the TV it will be a 42” LCD HD 1080P TV. Walmart has the one we want for around $1000 bucks. Keith Graham has an interesting blog post on related matters concerning screen resolution etc. We might have the TV this spring and I might be able to get the PS3 as a Christmas present. We’ll see.

Also an update on the recent murder that has gripped my City of Edmonton last week: It seems Saskatchewan RCMP have a man in custody fitting the discription. He's being held in custody there and will be brought over most likely to be interviewd and the wife of the slain victim will identify him in a line up and other witnesses. Most likely this is the City Police man of interest.

Anyway Bloggers, that’s all for now
