    Back to work Monday

All that big snow for the most part is gone. Not much going on for today. I’m leaving out of here at 4pm for my 5pm shift. Other then going into work, there’s Monday night Raw and of course playoff results. I took this photo of the snow piled up from last weekends snow storm. This pile is at least 12 feet high. Most likely if left un attended will melt around the end of June.

By now most of you reading this have heard about the incident in the Persian Gulf. This incident had risen Oil prices up to the $120/barrel mark. Pretty amazing. It also adds more revenue into Alberta coffers. I think Oil will peak at around $150/barrel and then it’s going to come crashing down this fall and winter to around $60. But the high cost days of $100+/barrel Oil won’t last long. There’s lots of supply folks no need to panic.

Over this weekend my cable company has been juggling up it’s specialty channel line up. They’ve switched station “Deju Vu”, which used to be 109 and now it’s 139. The Score where I would watch my Monday night wrestling on 94 is on 104. Why they do this is anyone’s guess.

I took this photo Saturday morning walking towards Clairview station. Anne was wondering the other day where the mail box was just out here by the set of lights. Canada Post had moved it more out of the way. That's the mail box in the shadow of the tree left foreground. Our building is the one left by the set of lights.

I haven’t heard anything new around the Blogsphere regarding Google’s Gphone, other then their SDK Android. They made an announcement about Android recently but apparently they are downplaying the importance of the Gphone, Google’s response to Apples Iphone? This will be another product not made available here in Canada.

Because of this weekends fiasco I wasn’t able to do any Lodge memory work on the WT for this weeks EA at the Lodge. I mentioned this to Alvar in an email and he said he’d do it. Whew.

I took this photo of the train coming into the station Saturday morning. It’s a good service and I like taking the train into work. Gives me a chance to read and wake up. The train is moving in pretty slow. Under the roof you can barely see a sign. Red means Clairview (end of the line) and Green Health Sciences Center (South Side.)

One book I’m looking forward to getting this summer is William Dietrich’s “Napoleons Pyramids.” Bypassing the hype and all, the subject appeals to me. I’ve always had a fascination for Napoleon’s Egyptian campaign. I mean how could anyone resist: “Gypsies, Freemasons, spies, assassins, Bonaparte, land and sea battles, treachery, and love along the way.” It might not be Science-Fiction but it sounds intriguing.

Anyway Bloggers, that’s all for now

    e. Jim
