Wow, I just finished watching the mother of all playoff hockey games this play off, Dallas hosting SJ. Not only did I enjoy the whole game but both goaltenders put on a clinic of 3 and a half hours of overtime play. The 10th longest Playoff overtime game in NHL history. 69 minutes and 3 seconds. Amazing. I started watching the game at 7pm and it was over at about 12:30am Edmonton time.
Not much going on today. I’m going into work at my usual time and get ready for the shift and work the shift to get out of there and head home to watch wrestling. I’m also going to try and get some kind of resume’ out there for one of the jobs I’m looking at trying to get with Stats Can.
Anne’s going to try and redeem her funds this morning. Hopefully we’ll have enough for the TV. I really want to go in and work extra hours this week. There’s a piece of software I want to get that requires me to order it with a pre loaded credit card. I’ll explain about the software later.
I’ve been having a bit of a discussion with the gang over there at SF Signal about my point of view on Young Adult fiction. Initially I was against SF/F-YA because I felt that they were little more then glorified children’s books but. This is not the case. I opened my eyes to this genre. The only thing I don’t like reading is Charles Stross. YA is not high on my genre but I’m not going to turn away any SF/F material.
I’m trying to get some funds together so I can order “White smoke.” It’s not exactly a well kept secret around here that my grammar kind of sucks. Text enrichment software is a tool that will improve on writing. The form for ordering this product is online only/credit card/Pay Pall. The product is not available in stores. The thing with this product is the ordering form. They don’t explain the ordering process. They take you to a page where you inter your credit card number etc. and then that’s it. Then what happens? There is an email field and a PW field and something about a registration number that will be sent in the email. Word has some grammar checking functionality but I don’t have Word. I have MS Works that came with this computer. My W98 computer came with copy of word but my W98 computer crashed last July. So far this has been a relatively stable computer. Even more so since I got the extra Ram a few weeks ago. But the new version of Word will cost me about $200 bucks. This is dedicated and cheaper. So I imagine that when they have my credit card number and all, the registration in the email they send takes me to a downloading window and White Smoke gets downloaded right onto my hard drive. I think. There is a “Contact Us” link etc and I’ll be exploring that as well.
Other then that, I’m still working my through Ps. I’ve got 4 books listed for Audrey’s. All big anthologies in the New Space Opera format. Also, I checked Abe books as well as I’m trying to order the Bard’s Tale books. For those not in the know, Bard’s Tale was an 8 bit computer game in the mid 1980’s. I played and highly enjoyed these 3 games. The newest version is an atempt at reviving the old classics.

I’ve always wanted the books. The first Bard’s Tale book came out in 1992. Great stuff. There’s only eight in the series but I doubt these books are available out of Audrey’s. I’ll ask them first if they can get them in for me.
Anyway Bloggers, that’s all for now
