It’s not very often an anniversary settles on the exact calendar day. It’s happened about 4 times before over the last 29 years. Yes, 29 years ago is when I began this daily diary. Sure I miss the odd day in my blog and even occasionally the odd day in my personal diary. But this whole diary began way back Monday May 12th 1980. 29 years ago. What you folks read in my blog is actually part of this diary. More personal parts of it of course do not see print. This document is in the MS Works format and works well for my needs. I used to as of 2005 write it all out by hand. My 29th anniversary of this diary today. I remember exactly where I was when I began this task. It would be about 7pm in my basement apartment/room in the Meyers house. It was to the suggestion of Richard that I begin this undertaking. It was supposed to be a Magical diary about my occult experiences. In the early days there was some of that as well but I merged my personal life within it. Kind of like what I do now with Science Fiction.

Ok, yesterday Anne did a lot of work around here gathering plants and things for the balcony. She also had laundry going on as well. As for me I got up around 1:30pm and did some Internet stuff and had brunch. Then my Pittsburgh hosting Flyers game. I enjoyed that one. Good game. Anne was doing her stuff and I was doing mine. She made me some pasta for my 11pm lunch, (at my request time wise) We finally got to bed about 3:30am and I stayed up until 5am to do some reading and then the cbi thing. Then I went back to bed and slept until noon. I had a good 6 hours sleep.

Today, it’s off to work at 4pm. The Red Wings are at Dallas this evening for game #3 of the Conference title. I’d like to see another Detroit/Flyers match up in the finale. Shades of 1997. After work it’s wrestling and that’ll be a wrap.

Anyway Bloggers, that’s all for now

e. Jim
