I haven’t been sleeping well in a couple of days. For the last couple of mornings I’ve been up around 4am for an hour then after that a bit of reading. I felt tired enough around 5:30am so I went to bed. It’s almost as if I had too much caffeine in my system but I can’t account for the source of the caffeine intake. I tossed and turned and closed my eyes just to get rest settling on that. Heading to the bathroom every couple of hours didn’t help much either. I need something else to take with my insulin in the mornings because the milk in my oatmeal is what’s helping me to get up and pee every couple of hours after I do the cbi thing.

At one point, while making my pee rounds I got the idea to get back to my web mail and find out where Keith went and emailed me that copy of “Crosshairs.” I’m going to rework this story and submit it in the fall. Also, next month, I’m taking out my first vacation pay draw and with that I’m getting WS and my external hard drive. I’ll wait to get the PS3. I’m not in a hurry for that. Having WS and the external hard driver are more important. Having a decent printer would help as well. Walmart has some a nice laser monochrome printer for under a hundred bucks. Almost as much as it would cost to refill the ink on this crapy HP printer. It has a problem with page alignment as the font isn’t always aligned squarely and even on the page. It’s ok for personal use but not for editors. I’m almost tempted to get the printer and external hard drive even before WS. I can work for a week and get WS that way but I need the printer. I also want to make out a hard copy of F as well.

I had difficulty initially with “Crosshairs” (CH) in my web mail account because it was in MSN Outlook. I don’t have the new Outlook and that’s the one Shaw web mail uses. Keith had emailed me a copy of CH and it being in the latest Outlook version, I couldn’t select all copy and paste the document anywhere. I went back into my web mail again after several months and I noticed another CH document addressed to me in February of 08. Keith must have read about this in my Blog and responded by sending me another CH copy and just this afternoon I was able to access my web mail account and that’s when I noticed the recent email containing the story. I was quite surprised when I was able to select all and paste into a new Works document. The only problem here is I need to reformat the story for indents and that sort of thing. Then I’ll need to rework the story slightly as I noticed a few holes in the plot. Then it gets edited for grammar and a polish or two later, then it goes off to submission. Of course once I get a decent printer next month. Belated thank you Keith for finding the story and making the new email changes.

It’s off into work at 4pm. I wanted to put extra hours in this week but I also needed better totals due to this internal audit thing going on. I wonder if there are going to be any changes like having the evening shift as a tap shooter shift only. Maybe even kill the afternoon shift because it’s not being cost effective. Those kinds of things. I’ll get my cheque tonight. Basically the dialer will be shut off and I go into Robs office and sign for my cheque. If their going to be a stickler for attendance I don’t think I have anything to worry about. They’re looking for people like Steve and Jessica that are here every once in a awhile. I won’t be able to do any book shopping tonight because I’ll only get my cheque and Anne needed the last $20 to do her thing. I’ll get my cheque tonight and then she’s going to do her thing and I’ll get the $20 tonight, which I can use for tomorrow. I want to get one of the Alfred or HL basic adult piano course books with the Cd. Mothers said they are about $20. I’ll have enough for one of the Ben Bova books. Or I might just get the piano book next weekend and tomorrow after work get the 3 books at Audrey’s. I also want to order those 2 Phillip K Dick books as well.

Oh and my little Feedburner chicklet is visible again. SF Signal has been having the same problem with theirs as I have, with it not being visible. Of course they have way more readers then I have. This Blog isn't content for the masses.

Looks like a real nice day out there. The weather pixie calls for +18C and that’s almost bang on for what it was 29 years ago. The air quality may be noticeable more in the Cities then it was 29 years ago but that’s because we have more people now then before. More industry.
