I felt good going in this morning even though it ws a bit warm but pleasantly partial overcast. I didn’t go into Tim’s for my breakfast sandwich. I just went straight for my dialer and got ready for the shift. I had a great start for the day doing ASB. Just 5 dialers up to me. I had 2 credit cards and over $500 bucks by the break. My last sale was a credit card sale. I ended up with 4 on the day. Good stuff. That means I’ve got 17 credit card sales and if they all kick in that’s $34 + a $10 bonus and my stat pay. I should end up with about $250 next week. It’s really worthwhile coming in for Saturday. Next week I want to stat putting in the extra hours not just because I want something like books from the book club etc but because if I can work 24+ hours/week consistently over the course of the next year part time, I’ll be able to get on the medical plan and get my teeth done. I got the $10 bonus because I got top total.

After that I went down to Mothers music because I wanted to find one of the beginning adult piano courses. It took me awhile to find the store. It’s more closer to Grant MacEwan College then anything else. Quite a trek for me these days. I had to stop and sit down for a bit along the way. Not much to say about the store. I had to check my bag at the reception desk. The store was dark and warehouse looking and didn’t have what I was looking for even though the clerk helped me out a bit. I ended up going to Audrey’s passing NorQuest and heading East along 108th instead coming in the back way. My book ordering guy wasn’t there as I thought about ordering the piano course books from them instead of going all the way over to West Edmonton Mall. I could have gone to WEM and the #1 would have taken me right there. But I also wanted to get at least one Ben Bova book today and no doubt Audrey’s would have closed by the time I would have got back downtown. Just as well. I got my 3 “Asteroid War” books. I should have brought my camera with me to take a few shots of some of the cranes downtown. Next weekend.

After my book purchase I went right home. Anne had left even before I arrived inside and I did some admin stuff and went to Fantastic Fiction on my website to the Ben Bova page to find out which order the “Asteroid Wars” books appear in order. Then I went into bed for a brief nap and dosed off for a bit and woke up by 5:30pm and got up to watch the Wings/Pens game. Anne came in from shopping and did her thing. She made some Chinese food as the game was underway and had to go out again. It was a pretty good game. The Wings won 4-0. it’s going to be a long series yet. Most likely 7 games. 2 in Detroit Sat/Mon, Then 2 in Pittsburg Wed/Fri that’ll be game 4. Game 5 will be in Detroit, next Sunday. Game 6 Tuesday most likely Game 7 will be Thursday when I go to the Lodge.

All in all, I had a pretty good day. If my ordering guy was at Audrey’s I would have ordered the 2 Jack Vance Omni bus “Demon Princes” books. If they are still in print. I’m also looking at the Imperial star omnibus by Poul Anderson. It’s listed as 2000 so it should be in stock. I don’t know what happened to my Star Trek books. Eventually my special ordering at Audrey’s will have run it’s course. Time to venture out into Ebay.
