First week in June.. |
|
Is always nice. Star Trek the Next Generation was really good. I didn’t know Jonathan Frakes plays trombone. Also, JF and I are the same age he was born the same month as me by 3 days. Wikipedia is great except for where it says citation needed.
So I packed up and locked up and shut the place down. I ended up with a seat by myself on the train to read. A soft smile when I passed Richards old place. Rain streaked the outside windows of the train beside me and a nice light downpour accompanied me to work. I love it when it’s raining with beams of sunlight.
Anyway, I got into the office, Greg called me. He was sitting at the reception desk handing out cheque’s and some money but asked to withhold $10 for something (pot most likely.) He gave me $20 and I didn’t get the $32 on my cheque. “Rob’s still there if you want to talk to him.” I brought me cheque along and he said mention this to me to credit me the $32. He said something about missing a day but I read it in his face that missing a day should have had nothing to do with it. I mentioned this to Moe. Rob stayed behind for a bit and we had a good talk. He was joking around with me and the staff.
Earlier as Fran was packing up she mentioned that my name was brought up by one of Rob’s an afternoon kick-off’s how good a part time guy was doing on credit card sales. That made me feel good.
We did CPA and I had a lousy start to the shift because I wasn’t doing this right. Then I recalled my error. I did a lot better, pulling in line hour and a couple of credit card sales. Anne called at the break. I had collected more bottles and cans. I ended up with 4 credit card sales and a $835 total. I mentioned this to Moe again to credit me the $32 and he wrote it in by my name on the attendance sheet and almost placed the credit on Brent D’s name!
So far this week, I’ve collected 18 credit card sales and if I don’t get any today at least I ave 18. That’s $36 + $32. That’s $68 in bonuses next week. Anything else today is gravy. So after work I headed out over to Audrey’s. Threatening storm clouds loomed overhead but nothing came out of them.
I got my 2 Star trek books. The 2 Jack Vance books are in and one of the Mission Earth books book 2 out of the 3 I ordered. Happy with that, I paid for the books and the staff were locking up no sooner had I crossed the threshold of the store.
I went to catch my train and I met J down there at Corona. We had a nice chat going in, To create conversation I noticed a pouch he had on his hip. His cell phone? He showed it to me. It’s a slick phone with a nice large screen. Full internet connectivity. I asked if he could call up my website. He did. Not bad looking graphics as we passed by Richards old place heading towards Stadium. He said he’s paying $100/month. That’s more then what I’m paying for my cable. But it’s a multi functional phone. I got my bag of cans and backpack and boarded the bus. After a bit of a wait the bus pulled me out, I got home about 9:20pm. I did my admin stuff.
Anne was late getting home because she had shopping at Superstore and she gave me an additional $20 for my allowance and made me some pasta for lunch at about 11:40pm and I watched ECW. Good show. After that bed but I couldn’t sleep. I think I got a few hours sleep but that’s about all and ended up getting out of bed around 5:30am this morning. I don’t feel to bad.
I’m going to bring my camera along with me this morning to take a photo of the lilac bushes by stadium this morning before my charge fails me. Also, I think this afternoon, I’d like to go to West Edmonton Mall (WEM) Giovanni music and get the beginner Adult piano course but it’s a long way out there but I’d like the book and take a look at their piano’s. I could be home around 5:30pm.
Anyway Bloggers, that’s all for now
