My bus was on time yesterday but the train was late and I got to the drugstore about 4:45pm for A diet Coke. Kingsley (Gary) is back but I had a slow start. I got my first sale about 30 minutes into the shift. I ended up doing well pulling in a credit card sales and about $400 in sales by break. After break Audrey’s called saying 2 of my Star Trek books are in. That means I have 5 on the shelf. Most ever. don’t get nervous Audrey‘s. I’ll pick up the 2 Jack Vance books Friday. Kingsley left at 7pm. He was being quiet for the shift but since yesterday was his first day back he was looking for an afternoon seat. I hope he doesn’t drape his coat on my chair/dialer this afternoon before I get there. I got 2 more credit card sales after break and I ended up with $930. I wanted to pull in a grand but the slow start always kills me. I don’t like CPA because they don’t get a tax receipt. At least with ticket campaigns they get to buy tickets. It’s only after a $25 sale they get a mini DVD tutorial on the program.

I was happy to get out of there when I did. Greg didn’t have the $10 and Tasa wasn’t there. I’d got $25 out of the $35 so far. Greg gave me a $20, I said I’d make change for him on my way in Tuesday. I will. I might even get one of the Jack Vance books now. I don’t have enough money for the external hd anyway. I met J again at Corona. Nice fellow but I don’t always want to talk with somebody on my way in. Monday nights I have no choice because I want to get home in time for Raw. I got in about 9:30pm and I did some admin stuff got ready and watched Raw. I noticed Anne came in about 10:30pm. This gives me an hour to play the VLT’s/Tuesday’s and Friday’s. Darryl asked me if I’d like to come out with him after work up to “Jeckle and Hyde’s”. Sounds like it’s near Freemason’s Hall. He said he’d teach me to play. I can go for an hour or until my $10 runs out or until how much I win.

I’ve never been big on gambling or playing VLT’s. My wife is currently doing a survey about chronic gambling/VLT’s. The whole point about what makes these things dangerous and habit forming is that players drink while they play these things. I’m going to drink as well, diet Coke. I’m always hearing Darryl saying how he’s winning $50-100 every time he plays. One night last year he won $1,000. Of course he plays hard core. I’m not expecting to win that much. I’m doing it more out of a way to relieve stress from the previous 4 hour shift. It’s a way to release all that work tension. A couple of times a week won’t hurt me. If I can walk out of there with $20-50 more then what I started then fine. Darryl said he’d teach me how to play. I’ve got a specific amount of time as well to play. Up or down, I’m done.

When Anne got home I was into the first half hour of Raw. Good show. She got the idea to order Pizza 73. They weren’t busy. For some reason the video feed froze up on me. It did this earlier yesterday while I was watching Star Trek on Space. Bud watches Raw as well so I’ll ask him if his TV froze up same time mine did. The announcers never said anything about a technical difficulty. This thing lasted about 10 minutes. Someone buzzed and I thought it was Anne coming in from taking out the trash but it was the Pizza driver. I paid for the pizza at the door. This was a record time for delivering pizza. With the high cost of gas this must be pretty hard on people that drive for a living.

I watched the rest of Raw with Vince giving away a million dollars. On a scale from 1-10, I’d rate Raw an 8. Good show. They need some different wrestlers and they are trying as the other wrestlers are fading out. Taker is gone (retired?) Ric Flair etc. Kane is probably next.

I ended up doing my stuff and going to bed about 2:30pm. I don’t even remember listening to Coast. I think I got up about 5:45am this morning to do the cbi thing and back to bed.
