Welcome to summer

The first day of summer! Wuu Who!

I left out of the apartment at my usual 4pm and at the drugstore I bought a bag of “Cheese Pleasers” a diet Coke and another 6/49 ticket. As soon as I win the Big one, I’m heading out of this miserable country, I’m looking at Hawaii. I love Edmonton but…more on this later.

I got my usual end dialer and I knew I wasn‘t going to do $1,000 last night or even $800. Maybe $800 if I don’t hold my breath. I was surprised at how well I was doing. I even got a couple of CC’s. Anne called at break and I bought a pack of chocolate covered raisins. I ended up with $635 and 5 CC’s for a slow but decent Friday night. I even got a good collection of cans and bottles as well.

So off I go over to Audrey’s. Nothing has come in for me this week. Their special order has gotten a bit lame latterly. And I wasn’t into getting the 2 Star Trek Vanguard series of books on hold their for me. I’m sure it’s a good series and all but I wanted something different, off the shelves. After cruising through all of 4 book cases I found “Omega Sol” by Scott Mackay. Then I found a World of Warcraft novel “Rise of the hoard.” There’s even an excerpt of some B&W comic book partials of a “WOW” graphic novel Sunwell trilogy. I’m not to into graphic novels and that already came out a few years ago anyway. I was happy with my purchase and I headed to Corona station, as I almost got cut off by this ETS woman bus driver crossing the street. Sure I had my cell phone to my ear but I was watching where I was going and the light was in my favour.

I put that behind me and there was the new guy Tom on the lower platform and we had a chat. After reading what I read through in the Sun I was pissed off at the these God dammed Federal liberals (Dion‘s). Rant alert: They released their new platform for their political future, which includes a carbon tax. Basically it means if they get elected, then say goodbye to the boom we have here in Alberta. The liberal platform is a multi billion dollar raid on the Alberta economy. Not only that but local Green enthusiasts are crying for a stop on Petro Canada’s plans for a local Upgrader citing the usual banal rhetoric. What these idiots fail to understand is that Alberta is the lowest emitter of GHG’s in the world. Less then 1% of all GHG’s come out of Alberta. But metro Toronto is exempt from Dion’s plan, yeah right. Not only that but my favorite news station is “going Green.” I tuned out last night for the last time. No more Global. I’m sick and tired of these idiots riding their mortar cycles into work and telling me “your circuit breaker should be turned off, when not in use. You could save $20 bucks/year. Turn off all your lights, you might save a nickle. Notice the vocabulary here is maybe, might, could etc. These Greens are the worst hypocrites on the planet too. They want to continue to use their wood burning fireplaces and tell the rest of the world we should be cutting back. And on the very same news program they’re getting all hyped up about the Indy Edmonton race car deal that’s been coming to Edmonton for the last couple of years now. Excuse me but don’t these race cars burn fossil fuels and isn’t that like a contradiction to the whole Green movement? What’s your carbon footprint? What a crock of shit. Meanwhile the Global anchor team is laughing all the way to the bank. These Greens are going to have us all unemployed but that’s ok as long as their cushy jobs are secure right? They can afford to “Go Green.”

I became so annoyed with this so called Green movement that I even cut off my ECW. I refuse to watch Global anymore and if ECW is going to be a casualty then so be it. I’m watching CTV news. As for my Friday night wrestling from now on I’m watching Smackdown for the full program. Part of the whole Global going Green thing is filler material anyway so they can stretch out their news program. The only thing I like about Global is the Markets and more and Kevin Karius sports. That’s the only thing I’ll tune in for. The good news is that Big oil climbed up again to $134/barrel. More later

Anyway Bloggers, that's all for now.
