Autumn will soon be upon us in a few days. It’s getting darker in the mornings. Right now, I’m onto my first coffee. I had 4 hours of sleep and I’m feeling ok.

Friday afternoon after locking the place up and strolling up the walkway to the set of lights I could see my bus waiting right there! Whew! I barely caught that one. I caught the Clairview train and read some more of Icewind Dale. Or for the next 2 months or so “Ice.” The writing style is crisp and tight. In fact, it’s pretty good even though it starts out slow. I’m actually enjoying R.A. Salvatore’s writing. Apparently on my way in there was an Oiler game on for tonight as the Rexall parking was filling up on both sides of the track. The rookie Oiler’s facing off The Flames. I got into the office and it looked like we were going to have a low turnout for a Friday night. Actually I was quite surprised we ended up 7 tap shooters. I took JT’s dialer and ended up with a good start but I was grinding my wheels after 6:20pm. One of the more recent tap shooters was taking liberties. “Can I send an invoice to the house? There‘s no time limit. You can change the amount when you receive it.” I couldn’t believe what I’m hearing. This told me if they’re not concern with the quality of calls, we must truly be on our last legs here. At break I was around $180. The new guy was about $300. “Oh you have one of our invoices (maybe with my initials on it?) just disregard that and wait for the one I need to send you.” When he left (the new guy) for a job at Costco earlier this week, Rob practically begged him the gal said next to me.(She verifies the front 20, or used to.) said he’d pay him $12/hour to stay. Holy shit. The new gal beside me said, “Say your going to leave, that’ll get you a raise.” Knowing my luck Rob will extend his hand out and say, “It’s been a pleasure having you on the crew Jim. Good luck with your new job.” I was glad to leave out of there when 8:30pm rolled around. But I’m going to make an appointment to see that EC Monday. I’m going to test this theory. 8:30pm couldn’t come fast enough for me.

I got out the door wanting to go to Audrey’s. A few more cars on the road against me wanting to cross 106th and 107th. Yeesh. Then a bunch of seniors in my way on the corner of Jasper and 107th as I’m waiting to cross. What is this? Trevor didn’t know about an order that I wanted (one of the Warcraft omnibuses.) so he placed the order. Downstairs he had 5 books for me. My Warhammer 40K “Space Wolf” omnibus came in. It was a nice thick book to just under 800 pages, so I picked that one up and we’re back to Canadian pricing. I’ll still special order and they will honor the books currently there and on special order now. I should have ordered a bunch more. The clerk at the till was going to charge me the full Canadian price but realized I had this on special order. The LRT stairs to Corona is about 20 feet away from Audrey’s entrance but it being a Friday night the lounge a few doors down had a Friday night hoard of people and bouncers nearby the stairs and a couple in my way hugging each other. “Excuse me.” Friggin people in my way ever since I left the office. Yeesh.

Hey, extra cars on the train tonight. Oh right, must be an Oiler game. On the train at Rexall a couple of aboriginals got on smelling of alcohol in a feisty and talkative mood in my booth. I just smiled and nodded not wanting to make eye contact with these people. I was glad to get out of the train at Clairview and onto my #183 bus at 9:30pm. A brief wait and I was home about 9:40pm to watch Smackdown. Good show last night but Triple H seems to have been losing a step or two barely being able to beat wrestlers no where near his class. I’ve noticed this ever since he came over to Smackdown. Strange.

Anne didn’t get home until about 11:40pm and supper was late but she made a decent meatloaf. She had to go up to Walmart and I went to bed at 1:30am unable to sleep. I got up for about half an hour to do some admin stuff on the computer and then went to bed when she got home. I fell asleep right after that about 2:30am. I got about 4 hours sleep. Maybe.

Not much is going on this weekend. Anne wants to go to a movie Saturday night. We’ve been having some trouble with her bank account as she went and changed the pin number on me. She realized what it was when I broke the connection and handed the phone back to the nice bank customer Thursday night. Now if I had my cell phone up and running she’d have been able to call me back and I would have the $100 for the Internet/cable connection. Now we can’t do anything about this until Monday and billing info is closed for the weekend. Also she misplaced the EC information as well, so I’m going to have to call the number from work or do this Monday. She said it’s in the white pages. So I can do this Monday for this week. I’m in the mood for an easy weekend anyway.

After work, I got mo where else to go. It’s just strait home. Anne’s working at Pizza and struggling through it. She’s slower then most people there she says. When I get home, I’ll be significantly tired enough for a nap. Anne starts at 2pm and finishes at 10 tonight so she wont get home until about 11pm. So I’ll be spending another night by myself tonight.
