Interesting couple of days

Yesterday I got up around 11:45am and watched a bit of news and the markets and did a lot of reading while Anne was out getting us that HDMI cable for our Xbox 360. We had trouble setting up our Xbox initially. Of course we had no idea what we were doing. A few phone calls later to Walmart and we found out we didn’t need the AV cable at all. Initially I had the HDMI cable in the wrong port resulting in no signal. My tooth was acting up on me, we were getting frustrated, yeesh. Another call to Walmart and we got some great technical assistance and the Xbox is set up and working just fine. The whole thing is, the Xbox 360 doesn’t come with an HDMI cable. I played around with a game for about an hour and realized I had to get ready for work. I packed up all my things and had a more comfortable wait out there for my bus.

I bought a plastic 500 mil plastic bottle of Ginger ale just to apply cold on my tooth. Yikes $2.35 for a bottle of pop. I read more “Helix” on my way into work and got my usual dialer. I realized I forgot JT’s $2 from our bet the other day. I explained. Ok Wednesday but about an hour into the shift I borrowed $2 from Greg. I was glad that was out of the way. I like to cover my bets. Anyway, I had a good start to the shift and had about $600 by break and a $100 CC. Rob again changed the rules on the CC’s it’s now based upon the amount of hours worked now. For example, I work 23.5 hours/week. I’m supposed to get 23.5 CC’s in a week to qualify. This is the third time Rob watered this CC sales thing down. This will last about 6 months or less. He’s making it harder for people to get bonuses. Where my wife works she’s lucky she gets bonuses at all.

Ok, up next around 7:30pm my wife called and we had a chat. She’s making Shepherds pie. Well, our version of it. We had the Team Canada game on and a bit later the Oiler’s/Islanders game was on. Plus wrestling later on. I ended up pulling in (fundraising $1,075) and a few CC sales. Highest total (again) in the room. The Oiler’s were winning 2-1.

I bought a can of pop and refilled the plastic empty from earlier and headed outside. Nice for a change. I called Anne walking across the parkade to Corona station and lost her going to the lower concourse. I cracked open “Helix” and nursing my soar tooth with sips of pop. It helps for a few minutes. Extra cars on the train because of the hockey game at Rexall place last night. I got inside to watch the last 6 minutes of the game. Oiler’s were leading 3-2. The Islanders were on a huge losing streak coming into this game it seems. The game ended 3-2 Oiler’s. The Oiler’s have the same win loss record as Minnesota Wild for the last playoff spot.

We had a nice supper last night and I watched Monday Raw in between episodes of toothache pain. Cold water works just as well as pop. I played about an hour and a half of Leggo Indiana Jones. We’re still stumbling around our game system. After that about 2:30am I had a need to read “Helix,” nursing my soar tooth now slightly subdued. We were in bed around 4am.

With it being “so warm” out there and all we had “Boots” in and out of our suite’s open patio doors. We keep the other cats separated from Boots because he being an outdoor stray cat will charge after the other guys any chance he can get. Last night Boots decided take the 12 foot jump off our balcony to land in the snow. Anne checked on him and said when she came back she followed Boots’s tracks in the snow. He’s pissing on trees to mark his spot. She followed his tracks all around to the other town homes up here and lost him. Right now he’s most likely hiding under the steps of some town homes nearby. We left him a bowl of dry cat food for over night. Hopefully the other strays in the area don’t get to it.

Well, today not much is going on. Anne’s going to be doing laundry on her last day off before management inspectors (in our building here) come in here to look the place over at sometime this week, smoke alarms that sort of thing.

I’m about 80% done with “Helix.” I’m enjoying this book.

Anyway Bloggers, that’s all for now.
