Well, Tuesday is over with |

I got out of here at 4pm down to my train and I read more from “Runner.” I worked my way through the parkade behind 1st Edmonton Place and into the Office. Sure enough Rob was there but he left shortly afterwards. I had a lousy start to the shift there for the first half and we had a full crew. At least for the taps section. I called my wife at break. We switched campaigns at 7pm when the Oiler game came on and the Oiler’s were playing great and we did AES and I ended up doing $830 and a couple of CC’s, 1 for $100. Good stuff. I felt better leaving and the Oiler’s were down 3-2 with the 3rd period as I waited and on my train home. At Rexall Oiler fans poured out all happy. They won 4-3 the fans on the train were saying. I felt happy about that. The Oiler’s hold the 6th playoff spot as the first half of the season comes to a close. But there are 5 teams in the West all within 2 points of each other. Anne made us a nice lunch and I’m just winding down my evening/night. I had a good day yesterday.
Actually I felt good about the Obama inauguration, I felt good going in. I had a slow start to the shift but I did right by my boss and I got $18 in bonuses and the Oiler’s won. Yesterday was great. Even the weather was great. The only thing is I’ve got those 2 bills to pay off and I'm getting kind of nervous about my website bill because I usually pay this around Christmas with my vacation pay but since my place of employment ripped me off as of now I have just over half of the funds for my bill. I'm hoping to have this thing paid off by the end of the month.
Over there at SF Signal they pointed their readers to an online site WOWIE (free books free minds) of free Science fiction novels. There was something like about 20 novels and I Haven’t read any of these before. I can probably print them off if I had a printer. The other option of course is the Iphone. I hear its ebook reader is excellent and apparently this service lets you carry these books with you on your Iphone. Quite often I’ve been in a position where pocket Internet would have come in really handy but $80/month over 3 years, well I don’t quite know yet. Still this WOWIE is a great free site, if I can create an account. A lot of their ebook offerings are free to read online
I think the reason why I’m having trouble getting into “Runner” isn’t because of the style or writing. It’s because the last book I read, “Helix” was so good. “Helix” was a tough act to follow. But I’m going to continue reading “Runner” to the bitter end……1:30pm we went to bed at our regular overnight time 3am. I wrote WOWIE’s customer service before bed and I have a response in my gmail I’ll look at when I come home from work later. I wanted to get in “early.” Coast had a great show on last night featuring “Planet X.” But his take on “X” hasn’t anything to do with Stitchen but more to do with a brown dwarf star called “Wormwood,” as in Chapter 8 vrs.11 of Revelations. Some interesting stuff.
Anne wanted to listen for a bit and with the radio right near me and it approaching 4am, I was really tired and we shut the radio off. I couldn’t get to sleep after that. I tossed and turned going to the bathroom numerous times. By 6am I was wide awake and I had only 2 cups of coffee Tuesday, I decided to do some reading in “Runner” and that helped. Not to say the book is boring. Actually it’s picking up. So I headed off to bed. I was able to sleep a little and I feel like this is a Saturday.
My wife wants me to get her up at 1:30pm as she’s going in for her Wednesday. I’m really proud of her that she’s held the job for 4 months, which is really good. This time last year her job at Consumer was just wrapping up.
Also when I got up this time yesterday my office window was opened by about 4 inches. I called out for Boots looking around but I couldn’t find him. He bolted out and off the balcony. I hope he’s alright as the weather is supposed to get colder and we’re back to winter over the next couple of days. This weekend were going back to the -20C’s again. But daylight is getting lighter longer now. Sun is setting shortly before 5pm.
Anyway Bloggers, that’s all for now.
