We were in bed by 3am this morning. I was exhausted and I took a sleeping pill and passed out. Anne was watching something on TV and came in a bit latter. There was an Oiler’s at Minneapolis game I wanted to catch this afternoon and that began at 1pm.
Of course the Oiler’s playing the day before looked like a tired hockey team but they managed to take the game into a shootout. Not a bad effort. The Oiler’s play next here at Rexall place on Wednesday and that’s a PPV game but the next televised game wont be until next Saturday and that starts at 2pm as were leaving the office. I’ll miss the first period but I should be able to get the rest of the game.
Last night I was playing Oblivion, having a great time. I’m exploring initial dungeon. I cleared out all the creatures except what seems to be the “Boss” of this level. Some kind of Goblin or whatever. There seems to be 2 ways out. One is via a locked door which I need a key. Guess who might have a key? Right, the “Boss.” I’ve engaged him a few times but I don’t have enough hit points to sustain any damage against this guy. I need to hunt down all the heavy stuff I had to drop because I was bogged down and couldn’t move. What I’m thinking about doing is gathering up all the stuff that I dropped and collecting it in the area of the Goblin and increasing my armor rating as much as possible, then swing my sword and get a better sword skill and once I’m ready, save the game and take my chances. The other way out is in this cavern the Goblin boss is in. My map shows an area of unexplored something that could be a way out. Also, I might add throughout this dungeon there are several holes in the palace floor above. I tried jumping on top of a chest or whatever to see if I could maybe hop out but that didn’t meet with any success. If I had the Xbox 360 router I might be able to tap into where I am in the game and give you folks a screen shot. I think I’m at 45 Saves in the game. Also, I don’t want any cheats, hints or codes to unlock the game right now. I want to do this on my own.
The only time I can get to play this is when my wife is working or on the weekends. Then of course I need my Saturday afternoon nap and Oiler’s hockey. Not to mention my Blogging and Blog rolls and of course reading and writing.
Right now Anne’s out doing some shopping and when she returns will be making our breakfast. Since the month I moved in with her back in November 2,000 we’ve had about 500 of these Sunday late brunch breakfast’s and I enjoy them each time. There’s not much variation. Usually it’s scrambled eggs, 3 sausages, and shredded hash browns with toast juice and coffee. I can’t wait.
I’m currently following Suvudu’s Comic Con weekend adventure. Looks like they have a lot of good things going on at this years Comic Con.
I’m always on the lookout for trying out new fiction to read. One of the relatively “new” genre’s I’m looking at is Urban Fantasy. By Urban Fantasy, I mean authors like Emma Bull‘s, “War for the Oaks.” This is a fascinating genre that seems to be a bit on the Gothic side which I admit a fondness for. I haven’t read any Urban Fantasy yet but I have 2 Urban fantasy novels in my reading queue: Lilith SaintCrow’s Jill Kismet novels. I have the first 2 and I’m going to get into these after the James P. Hogan novel. The 3rd Jill Kismet novel will be released this year.
So far my web guy Markus has yet to confirm to me he has received the funds I sent him for the Euros for my website yesterday.
Anne went over to Superstore just now as she wants to get settled in tonight to watch The Grammy’s. She made us a great breakfast and we watched the news and I’m just going to relax the rest of the night.
Over the last couple of weeks I was able to find over 320 SFF sites of authors and resources. This list is everything from Science fiction fantasy, urban fantasy all kinds of stuff in the genre. Maybe even some horror and paranormal stuff as well. I’m slowly going over these, see which ones I like and are useful. Lots of them are just “Myspace” or “Facebook” listings. I don’t care about those. I also don’t want any of these blogs that are YA or blog like once in awhile crap.
Anyway, Bloggers that’s all for now.
