Nothing up my sleeve

After shutting the place down and locking things up I was able to get the bus just before 4pm. This was good because I was able to get into work as the afternoon shift was changing. I gathered up a good haul of bottles and cans and wanted to call Fergeson’s but I’ll have to do this when I get up this afternoon. Super decided to put Chris and I at the back to do ASRAB with D & G. I actually did pretty well getting in 3 CC sales. In the 2nd half we were joined by Dave and N. Those 2 coupled with Dave almost got into a fist fight with me in the middle. Children. All this was going on as I was trying to get a CC sale as well. I got the CC sale for 4 on the night. Strange night. I got out of there with a $635 total with my cans and bottles I hurried out of there for my train.

With extra cars on the train due to the Oiler game I was able to find a seat on my own and read for about a quarter of the trip home. Anne wasn’t home yet but I caught the Oiler’s winning 7-2 over an on the road Montréal. But the game cost the Oiler’s one of their better defense men due to injury.

Jagr to Edmonton? It wont happen due to waivers and a contract/offer sheet. Like he’s going to do the Oiler’s any good. Kevin Lowe is in Europe but I doubt he‘s coming back with Jagr.

Anne had a TV dinner in the fridge for me and I enjoyed that for my dinner tonight. Nothing fancy but it was ok.

Today is payday and I get to haul my but up to my bank and with any luck I can get the bus to my bank instead of the train and those 3 large flights of stairs.

I slept well overnight. Coast had something on about Luciferian codes or something but the conversation was mostly about the Bible. I’m sure it was a pretty good show. But nothing that appealed to me.

I got up around noon and watched the markets even though there was no graphics the DJIA was still down to under 8000 points. Oil down about $34 not good. Unless Obama can get his stimulus package out there I’m afraid were going to see $30 oil (or less) for quite awhile. From what I’ve been reading and hearing the Republicans are showboating the stimulus package. Stalling it to get what they wanting the package and the markets are responding to that.

Over there at Cern and the LHC (remember that?) they are looking to start up the LHC again sometime in 2010. Another year yet of examining the data they collected last September and fine turning everything on the LHC. Who knows when that’ll start up again? Right now with the world in an economic slump and all the other things going on with my own life, Cern and their LHC is on the definite back burner as far as I’m concerned. The LHC has potential, nice idea but that’s about it.

I’m more interested in the Oiler playoff picture then the LHC at the moment. There are 4 points separating 12th and sixth in the Western conference and are all 2-3 games within each other for that last playoff spot. It’s going to be very interesting. Of course the game last night cost the Oiler’s another valuable defense man as I mentioned earlier. But if Kevin Lowe makes the right deal and we end up with something like Jagr/Campbell (D) then the Oiler’s could go on a winning streak.

“Logos Run” is turning out to be an exciting read and I’m having fun with it. I love authors that can draw you into their world and make you go ,”oh wow.” etc. “Logos run” is turning out to be that kind of a story. Speaking of books and stuff over there at Pat’s Fantasy Hotlist, there’s an interview on C.S Friedman I‘ve been reading. I’ve got one of his books on my shelf, “In conquest born.” There is a sequel to this “The Wilding.” I’m considering ordering this soon.

Speaking about “Pat’s,” they’ve got free books they try to give-a-way and I go there everyday and when they do I apply. Recently they have a Carrie Vaughn series of books to give-a-way. I never win on these things, but you never know.

Anyway, Bloggers that’s all for now.
