Very nice out there temperature wise. It’s +6C under sunny skies. Tomorrow about half of that and next week it gets a bit cooler with some -6 and -8’s in there. But the window is opened up and the cats can go outside for awhile.

The next Oiler’s game is 8pm Saturday night and I’m going to be here for that. I’ve got to tell Super that I wont be in for Saturday because Anne wants me home so we can go out for her birthday dinner. If I go into work and come home, I’m going to be to exhausted to go out with her for her birthday dinner right after I get home.

Right after our dinner we should be home around 6:30pm ish and the game is on at 8pm. Right now the Oiler’s hold down (barely) 7th place if the playoff’s were to start today. Including this game the Oil has 15 games left. But there are 5 other teams 2 points away or tied with us. The coach is playing Roli way to much but we don’t have a decent back up goal tender like we had with Garon. But that’s another story.

My Oblivion game is getting interesting. I’m trapped in the Imperial palace sewers right now searching for a way out and I can’t equip a weapon for some reason. This was supposed to be a slight deviation from the “Unfriendly competition quest.” I was trying to shadow Thoronir, which led me to this shady character called Agimir. Those two were having a late night meeting behind Thoronir’s house in a garden type area. There’s a sewer hatch which led me to a one room dank sewer. Nothing special in there. I’m supposed to go into Agimir’s home to case the joint, see if he has stolen inventory. But every time I go to the door to break in, Agimir is home so says a pop up screen. I figured like in the back of Thoronir’s home there shows on the map in the back of Agimir’s home a garden of some kind. Maybe there’s a back entrance. No back entrance but sure enough, there was a sewer entrance. I got down there lots of goblins and some treasure chests rats and that kind of thing but I can‘t seem to find a way out of here. I can’t teleport out either. I’m going to stay with this and see if I can find a way out of this sewer system rather then go back to an earlier saved game. I’ve got fireballs I can cast and I can rest to recover any lost hit points.

The most recent movie by Dwayne Johnston (The Rock) is out. “Race to Witch Mountain.” Based on the original movie. Looks like a young adult/kids movie. Of course I must be politically correct here and categorize the film properly: “Family.” Sci-fi Chick has a link on that website to the movie trailer from what else? YouTube of course. This is another Walt Disney production. I wish they had these types of movies out when I was a kid. It’s nice to see these types of movies coming out even though I wont go see it.

Over there at the Telus world of science here in Edmonton they still have their Lego exhibit going on. Most baby boomer’s my age had access to Lego blocks but these were the basic blocks. I think all we had back in the fifties were the red white green yellow full and half blocks. Today the company makes well over 200 different block types.

I leave out of here at 4pm as usual. Anne said because she got her birthday money from her sister we can go to her dinner tomorrow. Before work tonight I’m getting my 6/49 ticket. The draw this weekend is an estimated $9M. We don’t pay taxes on lottery winnings. But Friday the 13th is a good day to get a ticket. After work I go over to Audrey’s. I wont have enough for that RA Salvatore Omnibus but I will pick up something else at Audrey’s if I don’t have anything special order in yet. I know I still need to pick up some more Star Wars “The new Jedi Order” books. After Jedi, I’m going to work on the “Legacy” series.

No doubt after I get my income tax refund I might end up getting an Iphone. I wouldn’t mind getting a prepaid Visa but that’s not high on my list of priorities right now. With an Iphone I can go to “Fantastic Fiction” and shop for books before I buy.

I also want to get into the Eberron D&D series of books as well. Most of this series is still in print and I want to get them before they go out of print. I’ll special order some of those.
