It's still drying up out there but a system's moving in

Anne woke up out of here about 9am to do some shopping. I tried to sleep. I got up for a bit when she came back in, but she had to get ready to visit with her sister. D is coming from Winnipeg for a working assignment and before that the girls are going out to lunch and do their thing. D’s study must be for Tuesday but she usually comes by a day early when she‘s here in the city.

Apparently our weather is going to be taking a change to the worse. We’re not going back to the deep freeze or anything but we are going to get some rain and snow mix. Mostly snow by tonight and high winds. By Thursday and Friday, we’ll be out of the rough stuff and most if not all of it will have evaporated.

Sometime yesterday while my wife was about to go out she was ready to cross the exit lane that faces the parkade to cross the enter/exit lanes to our apartment complex. She was right by that gray colored door there in this first photo facing West ready to cross. That's a poor place to cross anyway, she should have known better. There's a blind spot there and she can't see anything coming from her left behind the stairwell shed. She barely reacted and jumped a step back as some crazy was driving erratically out of the complex and almost hit her by that first yellow post by the door. That would have killed her instantly. She was a little bit shaken up over that. No kidding. She got a good look at the car and reported the incident to the Police. Latter last night she went around from the direction the car came out from and it was parked here in this complex. At least we know it’s a resident of this complex. This place needs a speed bump but fire and ambulance are always coming in and out of here. Last night she called Police again and identified the car and said the Police could be coming here to get a statement from her. She said once her sister leaves she’ll have time on her day off to Tuesday to talk to them. Then go out and get my modem. The Police could be by today she mentioned. The car she talked about came barreling out of here heading towards the where this shot was aimed and spead out West down 50th.

The folks over there at Star Wars .com have a pretty good survey going on but it looked like a long one. My wife used to do research as a call center agent for a number of companies and nobody wants to sit through a 30 minutes survey. SF Signal used to have the best surveys but I think they ran out of topics.

Speaking about my favorite site on the web, SF Signal, one of their topics today was bout book covers from the books they received this week. I counted 164 book covers. I’m the 5th comments reply. Still, who can read 164 books/week? Little alone a month? That’s crazy. The best part is they get these books received for free. I’ve also seen the same book cover in their reading now books listed for quite awhile.

Well, the markets look a little on the week side today for an Easter Monday. The TSE on the other hand was doing well. I’d like to invest but I’m thinking I’d like to invest in our Canadian banks as they are about the only banks doing well posting huge quarterly profits.

This afternoon, I’ll be heading out of here at 4pm to do the job thing. I’ll get as much bottle’s and cans as I can and put my 4 hours in. Then it’s home to watch Monday night Raw.

Anyway gang, that’s all for now

e. Jim
