Look at the time, I got to go. |

Anne certainly seems composed in all of this but at the same time she’s done with call center work. I wouldn’t blame her, it’s a dead end job. Even though I like where I work. My place of employment isn’t bad. It has it has it’s moments. But from what I gather her work place is downsizing again but she’s survived a lot of these cuts already.
The pizza wasn’t bad, Nothing of course to write home about, it’s not as good as Rose Bowl.
Earlier before the game last night I was watching this program on CBC called “Market place.” The topic was about the EPFX machine short for Electro Physiological Feedback Xrroid. Here’s the skinny: This machine claims that it can cure whatever ails you. The devices work by transmitting radio frequencies or electromagnetic waves through the body, identifying problems, then "zapping" them. The client is strapped around the head, ankles and wrists and sees “results” on a slick computer screen. Magna block therapy claimed the same thing in the 1990’s and this is an electronic version of it. If your familiar with Dianetics and the E meter, then your almost there. The “Inventor” of the EPFX, is a flamboyant transvestite named William Nelson who lives lavishly in Budapest as an international fugitive from US arrest warrants for fraudulent medical claims. A Microsoft engineer who took the machine apart and found that the output was random, not specifically diagnostic. There have been at least three deaths attributed to this machine, due to cancer victims foregoing medical treatment in favor of EPFX treatments. People here in Canada have been paying up to $200 a session to use this thing. You can see these at trade shows across the country. Nelson has been selling these things at thousands of dollars a pop and people believe this device can cure them. Pretty amazing what people will do for a cure when they‘re desperate enough..
At Rexall Place this month they’ve got a whole smorgasbord of acts coming: Smuckers Stars on Ice, Fleetwood Mac, Bill Gaither, IlDivo and Jeff Foxworthy just to name a few this month. We‘ve been getting some pretty good acts lately. I still don’t know what‘s going on construction wise North of Rexall Place parking lot. I’m still trying to figure out what’s going on in there.
SF Signal has a link today at Suvudu’s free ebook downloads. I signed up for this service but they only give you the 1st 4 Chapters. I made mention of it in Signal’s comments section. My sample ebook was “Kiss of Midnight” by Lara Adrian. I downloaded an ebook of Jeffrey A Carver from his chaos chronicles but it’s part of the series he hasn’t visited since 1994. Most likely these books are all out of print. However all of the chaos chronicles are available on his website for a free download.
In about 45 minutes I’ll be waiting for Nathan to pick me up for Lodge practice, it’s about 4 of us over a pot of coffee and rehearsing for
Thursday. It’s only for a couple of hours.
I’m surprised I wasn’t on top of this thing but earlier but yesterday was national comic book day. I think Happy Harbor comics was involved. It’s a comic book give-a-way and I think it’s a great idea. Comic books are not just for kids anymore but there are certainly comic books for kids. I’ve never been in Happy Harbor before and they have a location just up the street from here. I Haven’t bought a comic book in years. I think the last time I bought a comic book was in the early 1980’s. An average marvel Comic book today costs $2.99. Here in Canada a bit more because of the exchange rate and the GST. A monthly marvel would cost about $3.50. I used to have about 20 titles going in the early 1980’s and then they were about $1.25. Before the GST. So at today’s rate, well you do the math.
Anyway gang, that’s all for now
