We’re back to normal more or less. Anne made me a Rachel Rae kind of a burger in like grill cheese thing for supper and fries. Delicious.
That and watching Monday night Raw.
I had a pretty good evening on the job getting absolutely nothing by 6pm. Then I got a lot of sales after that. I think I was at $350 and 4 CC sales by break. I gathered up all the bottles and cans at 7pm and had a pretty decent 2nd half closing out at 6 CC sales and $565 for the night.
Anyway, I got out of the office in a hurry and headed for the LRT barely catching that early train home. Anne wasn’t in and I became a little apprehensive. But she came in about 11:30pm and made us supper. She said coupled with being stressed out and the heat made her behave the way she did. We’re ok now. It’s not entirely her fault though. The worse part of all of this was I didn’t get a chance to read. Now I’ve got an hour and a half for just me.
According to an article in a recent New Scientist website, NASA may abandon plans for a moon base. Personally I think this is a bad idea because a moon base give NASA a strategic edge in solar system exploration. Meaning the moon has a lot of materials like oxygen and other resources that can be used to further develop missions from the moon. At least that’s this bloggers opinion.
I used to be an avid Advanced Squad Leader player. I visit their website half a dozen times/year for new product info. I know if I ever won the 6/49 big prize, I’d get caught up in all the ASL modules I’ve been missing to date. One of their new products is ASL “Action pack #5.” It’s an Eastern Front (my specialty) theme with 12 new scenarios and 3 new mopboards. Oh and Multiman is reprinting “Beyond Valor.” Good stuff. I miss playing ASL. Give me 10 solid players I can play with face to face and I’d be a happy guy.
Everything out there still has that April look to it. You know drab, and grey. Spring here is late in showing up. The temperatures are nice.
Last night’s Monday night Raw wasn’t bad. Jerry is starting to play the Heel favorite again, which I’d like to see more of. That’s what made wrestling in the days of Bobby “The Brain” Heenan and Gorilla Monsoon so engaging. Their banter back and fourth was hilarious. You can still catch some of their stuff on YouTube. I’d give last night’s wrestling show a 7.5/10. It could have been better.
Some sad news out of Hollywood, actor Dom DeLuise has died at the age of 75. I always liked him in “The Cannonball run,” But I remember him the most on Dean Martin’s show, as DeLuise ran through his "Dominick the Great" routine.
And finally Sci-fi guy.ca has an interesting interview with Fantasy writer John Marco and his recent book “Starfinder.” While I’m not big on the successful YA market, he does have other books that I’d like to read someday.
Anyway gang, that’s all for now
