Uggh, I got me a piece of maleware in my system but I’m taking steps to get rid of this thing.

It was really hectic getting to Lodge. I called Neil to let him know Nathan was going to pick me up early because we were going to do a dry walk through with the candidate. I called George and let him know as well because

Last time he came on his own. So I tried calling Nathan at home and his wife picked up the phone. She’d let him know to pick me up. Not that I couldn’t get there on my own it’s just a bit of a hassle and Anne might have wanted to use the bus pass. So I’m waiting out there for about half an hour and uh-oh, I left the TV on. So far it’s 7pm and no Nathan. Anne had to use our phone upstairs and she called the Lodge about 7:15pm. Neil said he’d come out and get me. Sure enough he did and he helped me rehearse on the way there. I got organized and the rest of the evening went smoothly. Even Dale Runge was there doing the Senior Deacon. Wow. Anyway I was nervous to say the least but the candidate myself and another FC were there outside the door of the Lodge. We had a chance in between knocks to rehearse. Good for him good for me. Finally I got up and began the exam and I nailed it letter perfect. The rest of the night was very enjoyable. We even handed out 2 50 year jewels. That in itself was amazing. Last night was really special. I even got myself a beer and Anne one as well. I love my Lodge. George was taking up requests for Volunteer work at Fort Edmonton park coming up August 22nd the day after my birthday.

When I got home Anne made me a nice lunch as we watched the evening news. And I got onto my ISP’s tech support and was able to get a hold of one of their trouble shoot guys and they said the Maleware I identified or them is vary malicious. The tech guy gave me a site called Malewarebytes .org and I’m waiting for them to return a registration key or something so I can get in and clean this thing out of my system. Also the tech guy said he’d put in a business call for me hopefully for this afternoon and or Monday.

This weekend is Mothers day. One of my favorite “holidays” of the year. It should be an official holiday. All I know is I’ve got enough for my book of the week at Audrey’s and I’ve got a good old hockey game to watch Sunday night it’s Chicago at Vancouver. I can’t wait.

Speaking about hockey the lawyers for the NHL/Phoenix Coyotes grouped were in the courts today for like a minute just to agree they’d meet May 16th to figure this bankruptcy thing out. Jim Balsillie has put up a substantial amount of cash and there’s a website going around called “Make it 7” meaning 7 Canadian NHL teams. How about Quebec, Winnipeg, Hamilton, Regina, Victoria just to name a few.

Nobody won the 6/49 draw from Wednesday so it goes up to $16M Saturday. I’m getting my ticket Saturday of course…………..2:05pm> I’ve got Adware in my system to the tune of 21 infections. I’m trying different Antivirus removal programs but in order for them to remove this crap, you’ve got to pay for it by “Registering.” That’s the key here. So far my ISP has yet to call me for an inspection. With my approval they can take over my system and work remote from Nanaimo BC on the island and clean this stuff up but they can only do this during business hours. Thus my Blogging around here is going to be spotty until I get this thing fixed up.

But at least the markets are improving. US President Obama is retooling their unemployment program. They’re on the right track with that. I wish Harper would be able to do something like that with ours by following their example but the Feds seem more concerned with killing helpless Seals and having our Olympic athletes wear Seal fur as part of their uniforms then with things that really matter. Because of this I’m not throwing my support towards our athletes. But the slaughter of Seals in Nova Scotia has been going on for years. That’s about as political as I want to get for this weekend anyway. I don’t get this country and for that matter Capitalism. The auto industry for example are churning out cars by the millions for the consumer that either doesn’t want them or can’t afford them or both. Not everyone needs a new car every year. The auto industry is the biggest make work project on the planet. The only auto manufacturer that doesn’t want bailout money is Ford. Well, the good news is the Dow is over 8500 points and oil is sitting at $57. I think it’ll see $60 by the end of next week.

Anyway gang, that’s all for now

e. Jim
