Cruising towards Friday night.

Last night I got in on my usual time. I got some empties in my bag and I got my end dialer but I had to hunt around for a head set that worked. I got one but it had a horrible echo affect in my ear and that kind of threw me off kilter for the first hour and a half. My first hour is my best hour and if I’m struggling then I’m worth crap after that. I did a lot better though despite the verifier yelling all over the place. I thought we got rid of that kid? Because I was only $100 away from line hour and I had a CC sale as well, they kept me there until 8:15pm then moved about 4 of us to do cold. I got 2 sales for a total of $385 and 1 CC sale for $30. That was a slow night for me but I had two great nights Monday and Tuesday. Tonight when I go in, I’m going to get a proper headset.

I got home and had a good rest of the night. Anne had just come in through the door and was getting supper ready. I checked my 6/49 ticket and I got 1 number and nothing on the extra. Saturday’s draw is $24M. Man $12M each for Anne and I on our bank cards, that’d be nice to take.

Still working my way through “In conquest born,” and I’m about 50 pages or so from the midway part of the novel. Maybe I’ll get there on the weekend. This is classic space opera with 2 powerful races at war with each other. I’m just going by what it says on the back cover.

Because I’m starting my new schedule with Saturday off I’m only going to work extra hours beginning next Wednesday. I’m going to try and go in Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons. Friday nights are going to feel a lot better now. More so with extra hours in my pocket.

In the wee small hours of the morning before bed I was looking at piano chord inversions. Thanks to ‘Expert Village’ putting the YouTube videos together. There’s the root position and first inversion and 2nd inversion. Its interesting stuff.

On Coast last night Richard C Hoagland was talking about how the US Government is classifying asteroids, comets, fireballs basically near earth objecst as Top Secret. Hoagland thinks it’s because there is some kind of an alien ‘war’ going on upstairs. Um yeah right. I think its because if there’s an asteroid on a collision course they don’t want the public to panic. And this makes sense but it also has my Spider senses up because if the Government is keeping quiet, is there something they know and they aren’t prepared to tell us? I don’t think ET is on it’s way to give us a ‘2012 howdy,’ type thing either. The thing is maybe the US Government can shut out knowledge of near earth objects on their way here but other governments aren’t subjected to that form of "secrecy." The question I have to ask is, why now at this time?

And finally, from SF Signal posts a link to a Space 1999 comics download site. When I went to this site a few minutes ago, I was floored. It’s from my old online friend ‘Zen Tiger.’ Since about 1998 Zen founded the MSN community “A Gods Fight,” or AGF (see link in links section near the top) He’s got a great site with all things dealing with science fiction, comics TV movies all kinds of good stuff. I've got a permanant home to his site at the bottom of my Welcome block, for now though you can get there from here.

Anyway gang, that’s all for now

e. Jim
