Back to the daily grind, here we go again. |

Sorry if this is rushed this afternoon but yesterday I boarded the 1pm bus and there was Nathan from work in the front courtesy seats so I had a chat with him. He was on another errand before he had to be in the office. I was downtown by 1:15pm so I read a bit and made my way over to the office. I got my dialer #15 and had a slow start as usual. But things picked up when I began to reload the taps. I was just short of line hour and 1 CC sale. I reloaded taps in the first half which they vehemently do not like. But then I got the idea to reload but ask for the 3 time close after which seemed to work. I got another CC sale in the 2nd half and a whole bunch of empties and a decent day on the job. I was about $100 away from line hour but the 2 Cc’s made up for it. Now today it’s CWF. I need to find a way on how to do well on that. I got home about 7pm. Anne called about an hour later saying there was dinner in the microwave and I had that and my insulin. Most importantly a night off to myself.
Basically Sunday night I was able to finish up “My favorite SFF authors” block with some links. I want to add book covers near individual links. What I think is the best of work I’ve read of theirs. For Robert J. Sawyer, it’s “Mindscan.” For Clifford D. Simak its, “Time and again” etc. I also talked with Anne a few times and read more from “In Conquest born.”……………..
I had a good sleep overnight. Well the markets are moving down again. Oil slumped down to under $70 but will most likely bounce back up. Its too early to see it drop down to $45 but never say never right?
On the 6/49 website they haven’t declared a winner for the $9M yet nor have they announced the adjusted amount for Wednesdays draw. Strange.
Amidst the trouble and unrest over there in Iran I had something to laugh about on YouTube watching some old episodes of “Hogan’s Heroes.” The episode had to do with Colonel Hogan and the gang capturing a Nazi bomber with a Nazi General (also captured) along with Allied escaped pilots and bomb an oil refinery and flying the plan back to England. Near the end the gang with Shultz have to parachute out of the plane, They say to a scared and reluctant Shultz “count to ten and pull the cord.” I was thinking if that was me I’d probably have a heart attack. Closest thing I’d ever get to a parachute jump might be riding piggy back on an experienced jumper. The last scene had Shultz and Hogan in Klink’s office. Great show and something to laugh about in all of this economic and political unrest about the world.
Tonight its into the job and I’m almost expecting bm to call me inside to admonish me over reloading taps yesterday afternoon. Most likely I’ll be doing CWF and struggling with that trying to get $65 by break. If I’m not at $100 most likely they’ll send me home. This campaign could make or break me with my job. But on the bright side, tonight I’ll get a lot of empties and tonight its another episode of Monday night Raw. The only good thing about this evening. If I get sent home again then I’ll be out looking for another job tomorrow.
The good news is SF Signal has a book giveaway: 2 signed copies of Gail. Z Martin’s Chronicles of the Necromancer. “The blood king” and “Dark haven.” I’ve got my entry in. This means I’d have to buy book 1 in hard copy. No time to edit, got to go.
Anyway gang, that’s all for now
