Ugh. I’m just waking up here. I had this weird dream that I was in this Science Fiction/Horror crossover movie. They were using my image from my blog to talk in real time. Anne and I looked at each other. The scene unfolded as the computer image said “We will compensate Jim Shannon for the use of his image from his website at E. Jim Shannon. com if he calls the studios at…..” The scene featured a major part of the movie with my image playing a huge role. Then I abruptly woke. What’s weird about that scene is that Anne and I rarely go to movies much less horror movies. Anne watches them but I don’t. I like some of the traditional stuff but that’s about all.
I’m Blogging in HTML these days in case you may have noticed a bit of a change in font style around here. Once I understand how Blockquotes are made I’ll be inserting those once in a while to dress up this blog a little. I’m not an expert or an advanced user of HTML or CSS. I want to try and make the Blog/site a little more professional looking.
This afternoon in about an hour I’ll be out there catching my bus to work. Its only 4 hours. But the best part is I’m going to get my book (Kate Elliott’s “Crown of Stars” book 3) at Audrey’s before heading over to the office at 2pm. There’ll be lots of empties for me to collect I’ll gather up those and I’ll get my dialer #15 and have a coffee. The first 2 hours go by really fast. We usually have a good crew on Sunday’s. The 2nd half is a struggle but I am comforted by the knowledge that in 2 hours I’m out of there and on my way home.
I had to hurry a bit there shortly after 12:45pm. As usual the wind was very strong and gusting. I had a wait for my train which allowed me the time to read on the way to Corona station. It was 1:30pm when I got inside Audrey’s and I picked up my Kate Elliott “Crown of Stars Volume 3” book. It was a bit more expensive then the others at $12.99. I hurried over to work and nobody was outside to meet me since they lock up the front doors on Sunday and after 6pm on Saturdays. Greg came down and let me and one more up. I got a good haul of empties and dialer #15, a headset and I was ready to go. JT showed up with some of Team India. Danny was already there when I got up. We had 6 tap shooters and I think they had maybe 4 on the cold side. All together there were about 10 of us. I had my pizza at break at 4pm and some more empties. I ended up with $580 and 1 $25 CC sale doing CPA. I was lucky I got a $100 sale from the “big taps.” I got the last of the empties for a pretty good haul heading home. I read waiting for the train and read on the way back. I got in about 6:45pm as Anne was sleeping not feeling well. She’s up now watching the Michael Jackson thing unfolding.
As for me, I’m going to read until supper/breakfast which is going to be around 11pm tonight. I want to read as much as I can after this.
Anyway gang, that’s about it for now…..
