Anne should be just waiting at Bay station for her Clairview train right now. She should be home in about 35 minutes. She suggested I have the hungry man TV dinner and I’ve eaten them recently before but, I’m not in the mood for one now. Besides, I can save it for say Monday when I go in for the afternoon shift. 1:30pm-9pm.
Over there at Pat’s fantasy hotlist, he has an extensive breakdown of Steven Erikson's "Dust of Dreams" book from the Malazan series. Pat gives "Dust of Dreams a 9.5/10 rating . I've got the first of 3 in the series and I'll read them all in one go when I have the full 10 volumes. Watch out for spoilers.
My website CMS story editor had a slight flaw in it in that I had trouble with while using the advanced toolbar the text color pallet editor. I tried going into HTML mode and inserting some code but that didn’t work out. Switching back to advanced I tried the text pallet once more refreshed and to my surprise it works. This will be useful latter on.
The TV listings today on CBC show a back to back “Kill bill” movie marathon. Volume 1 and 2. Since I haven’t seen these movies yet, it will give me something to watch later on today. I like the action adventure genre but I double checked the listings and the movies are on way too late for me. I need a PVR.
I was waiting at the office for DC to jump me saying I owe him $2 from Thuesday nights. BC 40, Esks 22 debacle of a football game. I wanted to suggest we go double or nothing against the Toronto/Calgary game last night. I‘d take Toronto. But DC wasn‘t in this evening. Good thing to because that game as of this hour ended up Calgary 44 Argo’s 9. Yikes. Good thing I didn’t bet on the game.
I just heard news journalist Walter Cronkite passed away at the age of 92. Were losing a lot of famous celebraties this summer. It's ironic that Walter Cronkite passed away while Nasa and the rest of the world celebrates the 40th anniversay of Apollo 11 moon landing.
And finally it’s a sad day for Canadian science fiction. Phyllis Gotlib passed away Tuesday. I just found this out as of this posting. Gotlib published 12 novels. I haven’t read any of her work at all but I think Robert J Sawyer published one of her works under his imprint a few years ago.
Anyway gang, that‘s all for now.
