Uggh, what a weekend

My wife said she goes back to work Friday. She’s working sometimes 2-3 days a week and that’s not sustainable. Even though she wants to keep Pizza she needs more hours someplace else. This means that I’ve got to pick up the slack. I can work as many hours as I want at my job. This means that even though I’m going in for today for 4 hours we’ve got no choice now for me to go in this week 1:30pm-9pm. I know I’ve said this before but we’re in dire straits now. I’ve been resisting because this is summer and I hadn’t had a week off work since I became diabetic and that was in the hospital for a week. Yes, I know I’ve said this before but now I’m nailing it home into reality. If I work all this week and next week then we’ll be more or less ok.

Anne’s off today as well but when I come home after work she’s going to make our brunch and we’re going to a movie from the double free pass we received when the lights to our Star Trek movie shut down Sunday June 8th almost 2 months ago. Anne wants to see that “The perfect escape” movie or something like that. I want to go see “GI Joe.” So we’ll be going to the late showing.

I tried playing a bit of “Oblivion” as well this evening on my Xbox 360 but for some reason the disk could not be read. I tried putting the rechargeable batteries in but that didn’t work .

So my day today is going to be like this: I get up around 11am have a coffee and do my stuff. About 1pm I’m catching my bus to Audrey’s and I’m going to get a book. I’d like to get 2 books or the “Sam Gunn” book but since I’m working all week afternoons and evenings (most likely I’ll get the CJ Cherryh Omnibus instead) I’ll need some extra cash this week. Then I’m in the office for 4 hours. I’m going to try that fellow’s number again, see if I can set something up. Then I come home we have brunch and then go to the movie. After that we wind out the night.

I watched the Esks/Hamilton. It was a good game until the 4th quarter and the T-cats blew it out but 28-21. It was a good game. The heavy downpour was a legitimate factor. I caught most of the Winnipeg/Calgary game and Calgary won that one. I’m all “football’d” out.

And this from the Coast website about this mornings show: Space scientist, filmmaker and mystic ecologist

David Sereda will discuss his latest research on Zero Point Energy and the hidden harmonic codes of the universe, as well as how sunspot activity is affecting the climate. First Hour: UFO expert Nick Pope will comment on the aerial object seen during live broadcast of BBC Breakfast. Also appearing, Michael Rowley will talk about the UFOs and alien being reportedly seen near his Florida home. Should be a great show.

Despite watching a double header football game I managed to read a bit from “The Wilding,” write a brief essay and made a blog post. Right now my sinuses are plugged up and I’m tired and all I want to do is to go to bed.

Anyway gang, that‘s all for now.
