To recap and moving forward |
|
I had a great day yesterday. I woke up around noon feeling groggy but I had a coffee and I took my cash with me into Audrey’s and picked up that CJ Cherryh Omnibus book. It was a beautiful warm sunny day.
On the job I had one of my best Sunday’s ever pulling in 2 cards and line hour for $725 and a $10 bonus on my next cheque. If bm pays me that is what with this new bonus structure and all. I gathered a small collection of empties not a great haul that’s for sure and headed home. Anne called me while I was approaching Stadium Station. I managed to call up that fellow to set up a time at the Burger King for this Tuesday. When I cam in Anne had brunch ready for me and after that we went to cash in our free movie passes and I went to see GI Joe. What a great movie.
This morning however I couldn’t sleep. I had that wandering legs syndrome again. I was in bed by 3am and dozed off here and there but I kept on tossing and turning and scratching, itchy, it was horrible. I went through 2 hours of that until I decided to get up and watch some of the business channel. The Bank of Canada is predicting economic growth in the 2nd of this year. Well the 2nd Quarter has come and gone and I don’t know if we received any positive growth. Positive growth out of any 2 quarters indicates were out of a recession. Economic recovery is something else.
After about an hour of business news I went back to bed and managed to doze off. I woke up at about 11:30am figuring I could use another hour and I woke up and it was 1pm. Yikes. I felt a lot better after that and having a coffee woke me up. I‘m feeling no worse for wear.
One thing I learned as far as going to the movies is to sit at the very back against the wall. This is about a 500 seat theater and they have about 12 rows of seats but by the time we got there the back row were already full. This was a fairly big screen as well. During the upcoming films promo before the feature film, they ran clips of “The last Airbender.” It’s slated to be out in 2010. It looks amazing. I also wound’s mind seeing the recent Harry Potter film as well but I‘ll see it on cheep Tuesday nights for half price. I really like this theater but other then the GI Joe movie and the Harry Potter thing, that looks like about all I’d like to see this summer. Star Trek Academy had come and gone very quickly but it seemed to have grossed about $250M. I wonder how much more in merchandizing the film will make once it gets onto DVD?
So then as for me, I’m off to work at my usual 4pm time for my 4 hour shift. Then it’s home for Monday night Raw broadcast out of Calgary tonight. Smackdown here in Edmonton tomorrow.
Now onto the cold and flu report. The worst of this thing seems to be over. My sinuses have more or less cleared up and same with the congestion. My throat sounds a little tight and growl and I still have some flem in my nose. I think I’ll be back in a few days.
Anyway gang, that‘s all for now.
