Mid week crisis and blues, well it's a Wednesday isn't it?

On the train going into work and approaching Rexall place I could see the WWE trucks out there on the other side of the parkade. Fans hadn’t arrived yet for the 7pm event. I was going to take a photo but the trucks were too far away and were partially obscured by trees. The shot would be titled “About as close as I’ll ever get to the WWE other then my TV.”

I had a decent night on the job even though it was slow going I did get a $30 card and then a $100 card. We had 2 tap teams going of about 5 people. Most cards and line hour you get a $25 bonus. Also on the TV we were watching "The Empire Strikes back," on Spike TV. This was the 1997 remake version. they've been running that all week. Also we were watching a bit of Space "Stargate SG-1." I was watching both in between calls. I might have caught about 10 full minutes of each in between calls and commercials. About that $100 card, I actually I got the card in the 2nd half had a quick chat with Anne got a whack full of empties. I ended up with about $320 but the computers crashed so there was no way to really tell my exact total. $320 isn’t bad for this campaign struggling with my plugged up sinuses and all.

Even though our team wan I didn’t get line hour and thus no bonus money for me. I gathered up my things and headed for the train and I called Anne as I was pulling into Rexall place. The back parkade was 90% full and even the overflow was about 50% full for the WWE event. First time here in about 4 years. That didn’t speak to the attendance numbers inside because lots of fans were coming from train.

I called my contact and he said he was about half an hour late. I waited in BK with a diet Coke and he called saying he’d be on his way but BK was closing inside in about 10 minutes. I reset the meeting until tonight at about 9:15pm at Tim Horton’s at Corona station.

Oh and tonight on Coast sounds really good: With a PhD from Stanford, and a BS from Caltech where he studied under famous physicist Richard Feynman, Dr. Robert Piccioni will discuss the Big Bang, dark matter, and how iPods, GPS systems and the Internet are all connected to Einstein. Speaking of which today physicist Stephen Hawkings was awarded a Presidentual award from Obama.

This morning I got up to use the toilet about 9:30am or so and the door to my office was partially open. Ordinarily that wouldn’t mean anything but we had Boot’s inside all night and the office door wont lock anymore. Anne had rigged up some kind of cloth rope tied to a nail on the outside door frame around the outside doorknob. Somehow Boot’s got out and with 4 indoor neutered cats and Boot’s where there’s smoke there’s fire. I have a plastic garbage bag cover on the monitor screen and on my piano/keyboard. The plastic was off, things were all over the place and there was Boot’s on the floor in the living room eating away by the aquarium tank. Silky was upstairs above my book case in a spot he’s been liking lately. Pledges was on the end of the couch looking down at Boots about 2 feet away no worse for ware and Sporty on his haunches on the kitchen table as if nothing happened. Sparky was hiding a bit but everything seemed calm and serene. Nobody seemed hurt or nursing wounds. I got Anne up and she was all in a panic. She was more worried about one of her Hamster’s out because last time Boot’s was out the Hamster died of shock.

Anne settled everything down after letting out all of the cursing and cussing.

I managed to find a few extra hours of sleep when the dust had settled and woke up around noon but dozed off for another 40 badly needed winks.

Yeesh, what a start to the day. Oh, yeah it’s a Wednesday. Need I say more about that?

Anyway gang, that‘s all for now.
