I'm having a pretty good long weekend |
|
I went to bed about 3am Saturday morning and slept until 12:45pm. 9 hours 45 minutes. Other then to get up to use the bathroom I slept pretty good but I was still wiped out, exhausted. I slept for another hour and a half after that.
Anne was up and about doing her thing and I got up to watch Winnipeg/Saskatchewan their Labor Day classic and just my luck, the game was only into the few minutes of the first quarter. It was a good game, an East/West match up and a good way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Winnipeg was the underdog here on hostile territory. What with the bi-week and the Packman rumor Winnipeg Coach Mile Kelley was kind of up against it. Winnipeg couldn’t hold onto the ball and turnovers and bad luck did them in for a 14/29 Rider win.
Last night (Saturday) I began working on a list of links block showing recourses/friends/people we like type thing. It’s a work in progress. I took out that Blip.FM because it wasn’t working for me. I still want to put a my music application of some sort here but I haven’t found anything good yet.
Other then watching the game having brunch I’m been reading “The Space Wolf” first Omnibus, It’s pretty good. I’m about halfway through the first book. Apparently there is a second Omnibus coming out but it hasn’t been released yet.
I mentioned this on my Blogger Blog last night and I won on the 6/49. I got 2 numbers and the bonus number for $5 bucks. Wuwho!. I’ll buy a ticket when I go in on Tuesday. But $5 bucks is $5 bucks right?
At today’s SF Signal they have a post listing the top 10 SFF films coming out this fall on the big and small screens. Only Robert J. Sawyer’s FlashForward looks any good. “Astroboy,” “Jennifer’s body” I couldn’t care crap about.
Also on SF Signal today is a great Elizabeth Bear article. See links under people we like. It’s a pretty good article as well.
On my plate today, it’s the Eskimos/Calgary CFL game and reading more out of “The Space Wolf” and watching Monday night Raw.
Anyway gang, that’s about all for now
