Today's CFL Labour Day Classics... |
|
were hardly classics at all. Arogo's at Hamilton was a runaway for Hamilton. I almost fell asleep watching that one. I was hoping for big things out of the "Battle of Alberta" but the Esks were a no show. It was 29-2 and the Esks blew a short yard field goal. Finally near the end when it was like 2 minutes left, 34-2 Calgary, the Esks scored a TD. Usually these Labour Day CFL Classics are exciting but today I should have taken the 4 straight Eskimo wins as my cue, but you never know right? I mean I could take an Eskimo loss if the score was 34-25 or something like that. The rematch is Friday.
Other then that I spent the whole day reading and watching football and tomorrow it's back to the daily grind and a short work week.
So far in my reading of "The Space Wolf" I found very little reading predictability within the first 122 pages. The writing is very good. Somewhat like R.A. Salvatore on steroids. What I like about the story so far is that it is not "over the top fantasy" even though there is a lot of MC internal inspection but the generous action sequences make up for this. I probably wont finish this until the middle of October, if that. I'm looking forward to "The Space Wolf," second Omnibus whenever this comes out. I heard 2010.
And finally, we're coming up to the 1,000th blog post of my new Template. If your a regular reader here (all 2 of you :-) most likely you've seen this blog go through this, its 2nd template change. I've been on Blogger way before Geeklog and my earlier posts go back to September 2005. I've been meaning to get a link to that. Sure why not now.
Anyway gang, that's about all for now
