off here. Earlier this morning I finished reading the 1st novel in "The Space Wolf" Omnibus book. For this being my first Warhammer book I have mixed reactions. Firstly, there is a lack of dialogue. Next there is too much character internalization. But the action scenes and writing make up for this. I'm having to pause several times on a page to discover a new word. The first book was a bit corny to say the least but I'm sure they pick up. I'm more of a "Forgotten Realms/Dragonlance" kind of a guy. But Warhammer 40K is military fiction and I like military SF.

Today's SF Signal shared a great YouTube clip on Jake Von Slatt, the Steampunk designer. I don't know much about this genre but it is very interesting stuff, worthy of further investigation.

I was watching the Winnipeg/Rider game from Winnipeg this afternoon. It started out good but then eroded into a disaster for the home team. I wanted the Bombers to win because that would help the Eskimos. The Bombers have huge quarterback issues and turned the ball over 9 times-1. They lost to a visitor team 55-10. Owe.

My wife made us a great late brunch while we were watching the debacle on TSN.

Lotto 6/49 had their website down all afternoon so I don't know if anyone won the $9M last night. I got 1 number.
