has been awesome. Wednesday was +34C or so our local news has mentioned. I think this has been the hottest temperature of the summer. Trouble is it doesn't last. We get it for a couple of hours and then the temperature drops significantly. We're now at +19C for this time of day and with it being the 2nd day of autumn, this is amazing weather. But all good things come to and end. We wont have it this warm until about next July.
I'm back to doing cold calling and semies at work. I don't know why they keep me off taps and have new people do them. Same with the new gal from Vancouver. They have her doing the same source as I am. I need to listen how these people do their CRF calls and how come they're getting $300-$400 sales. I got 2 cards yesterday and 1 card today. My total today was a paltry $145 with no bonus money. but I did get a decent ammount of empties to take home.
Over the past few days I found a pretty good YouTube downloading source. This thing is so easy and slick and you don't need to register. I downloaded all my Clash, Joe Strummer and 101'er tunes all under a .flv listing. I've got 50 files now.
This means that my "The Space Wolf" Omnibus reading over the past few days has been taking a back seat. I'm not putting myself under any pressure to have the book read by a certain amount of time either. When it's done it's done.
I got all of my cheque stubs together and in order for a timeline for bm for my vacation pay payments. December 19th 2008 payroll sends bm a note saying that I was overpaid by $315. WTF? I'd like to know where they get that figure from? Even with the overpayment after paying it off, they owe me YTD a nice chunk of coin.
I've narrowed it down that I'd like to get the IphoneS 32Gb version. There are plenty of free .flv file conversion programs I can get that will let me convert these files to the IphoneS. The thing is, I feel my job after 9 years is in a vulnerable position. Here I am doing cold calls and I fear that this is the nail in the coffin. So before I go on a 3 year contract with City Fido ($60 month) I want to make sure I have a 2nd job. Something to fall back on. This is why I'm looking at applying for another position. I was talking with a customer at work earlier yesterday saying that he's working with one of our service providers downtown here doing shift work at the Help desk. He said they're just looking for a good telephone demeanor. I'm going to be looking into this as well as the security guard job position. But I'm going to apply at this other job over the weekend. Everything is done online. As long as I don't do sales.
