Despite the Esks loss on Saturday night I still had a good weekend.

 I’m in study mode right now learning my FC exam material for at least one candidate possibly 2 for October 15^th. I’ve got the first part committed to memory. The 2^nd part is a little more tricky but not an insurmountable obstacle. Public speaking is not my forte but I did the EA exam spot on last Spring when the candidate was ready. I got much praise by the head officers. Not that praise and recognition is why I do this. Other then the WM in the big chair, I think the SD has more work to do in the Lodge. Oh and the Secretary as well.

My next book to read (if it passes the 50 page test) after “The Space Wolves,” is Sheri S. Tepper’s “The Family Tree.” Goodreads has 478 ratings and 43 reviews on this novel. Most of the reviews about this book give it 4-5 stars. I’m looking forward to the book.

Well finally after 8 weeks we finally get information from CRHC and the form letter at least provided us with a name and an extension number. They said we don’t qualify for their Community Housing program. We applied for the Private landlord supplement. So now I’ve got to get up early tomorrow and get a hold of this person and see what’s going on. They say we make too much money for their program. WTF? We both work part time jobs. And too add insult to injury because this is coming up to the 1^st of the month (October) puts this place in legal position where they can give us a rental increase notice. Once/year. It has to be posted 3 months in advance meaning October 1^st which is Thursday for December 1^st of this year. More then likely the rent increase notice is sitting in the office ready to go first thing in the morning even as I type this. The irony in all of this people are vacating from this housing complex (at least in our building) faster then you can say U-Haul! Already 9 vacancies/65 suites. A year ago the place was packed. The worst in all this is I want to go In for extra hours but I also need to talk with this extension and I can’t do that while I’m on the job 1-9pm. So I’m going to call about 4pm leave a message and get up at 9am and wait for a reply from 9-12 when I get out of here.

Anne’s sister Donna was just here as the ladies left out of here to go do their thing. I explained all of the above to Donna and she agrees it sounds like they have us mixed in with another program. Now more then likely we’re going to have to go through the process all over again and hopefully get rental subsidy by the time the rental increase takes into affect December 1^st.
