Another typical Wednesday

I slept ok from around 3am-10:30am and I tried to get that those last few hours of sleep before noon. No such luck. I did get an hour from 11:30am ish to just about 12:45pm ish. Its hard to get sleep when you’re an older diabetic.

This morning while in and out of sleep, I was thinking about my father: Richard Warren Shannon. My father was quite a guy. He was born in El Centro California in 1922. I never met my grand parents on his side of the family. I had heard different things from my mother. From what I gather Richard's father died in a work related accident. I don’t know those details, read more,

Alright, today not much is going on. It’s into work and putting in my 4 hours and home. Anne’s working tonight but she should be home before me. It’s a typical Wednesday.

Tomorrow I’m off to a regular business lodge meeting. I’m thinking about putting in an afternoon or just go in Friday afternoon. I’m not sure yet.

This weekend is our own Pure Speculation science fiction convention. We were supposed to have Spider Robinson join us but his wife is in a bad way. I’d like to go but I don’t know if I’ll have my full vacation pay out yet. If I do get my VP I'll pop into Happy Harbor get a ticket and maybe open up a comic file. I miss my old Marvels. I might just go pop into Pure Spec and see if there are people there I know. Anne’s going to be working anyway and I might have my new Iphone Friday night. I’m almost certain I’m going to get it but I don’t like being locked into a 3 year contract. Still it’s only $60/month. Most likely Payroll will give me another $34 kind of thing instead of the YTD like I’ asked for.

Weather wise here it’s seasonal. We’re at +9. Should be a good weekend coming up if I get all my VP that is. I’m still reading “The Space Wolf” and closing in on the end of book 2.

Anyway gang, that’s about all for now

Jim
