Alright, here we go. It’s another Fine looking Saturday. I’m feeling ok. A little stiffness in the neck but not too bad. I’ve got a coffee I’m working on here and a glass of Cola.

Being the last to leave out of here I shut everything off feeling a little down because well of the uncertainty surrounding my VP and Anne blowing up at me. This did not put me in the best frame of mind for work. But my bus came by to pick me up as usual and I found myself on the train and heading down to work. I was rehearsing my FC exam material watching the various job site projects in the states of development. It was a pretty decent afternoon about +13. I met Warren and Kyle just outside Tim’s and Warren and I are on for our BC/Riders game at Mosaic. We even shook hands on the deal.

I got into the Pharmacy and bought my 6/49 quick pick ticket and headed up stairs. Keith the assistant acting boss caught up with me heading to the reception desk and I got my pay cheque. They call it a check on the pay stub so for all you purists out there, well stick with that. But I got my paycheck and payroll didn’t give me all my VP. Their paying me like 2% of my vacation pay. That’s not even the minimum of 4%. After so many years of service uoy go from 4-6%.

As if that wasn’t enough everywhere are posted several twin sheets of notices: As of October 17^th new hour changes. Steve (Vancouver) and Mike (Winnipeg) have come up with new hour changes. Back is the morning shift from 9-12:30pm. That’s part time AM. Then there is full time 1-9pm. And then there is 5-9. Also, payday is on Saturday’s unless you work ordinarily on a Saturday you’ll get paid Fridays. Also, they’ve extended Saturdays shift from 10-4:30pm. So if one wanted, one could work the Am shift and the Full time shift. That’s 11 hours/day. We’re going to get the diehard people that will want to do that. 11 hours/day except Friday is 7 hours/10.5 hours plus 6 hours Saturday is 60 hours. Even full time, 1-9 is enough. That’s 7.5/day + Friday at 3.5+3.5= 41 hours plus Saturday’s 4 hours is 45 hours/week.
