I've a lot to be thankful for

I love long weekends. Especially Thanksgiving. Here’s a picture of Anne on the couch with Pledges and Silky during halftime. Anne’s got supper in the oven and relaxing watching her soaps. Winnipeg 21 Hamilton 0. Scary because Winnipeg’s next 2 games before the playoffs are against Montreal, the top team in the league. So here’s a Thanksgiving day photo:

Anne made me an excellent baby back rib dinner, which I enjoyed just before Monday night Raw. On a scale of 1-10 I’d rate that maybe a 7. “Snoop Dog” is hosting Raw next week. I don’t ordinarily like Rap but I like Snoop Dog. Jerry Lawler for mayor? What’s that all about? The pumpkin pie was great for desert. Throughout Raw Anne and I were watching the ports score ticker following the Oiler/Preds game. Oilers were leading 6-0 up until late in the 3rd. What? They won 6-1 without going into OT. Love it. The Flames 5 Hawks 5. Hakes won in OT. Love that to. What with Pat and Barry here Wednesday and the Thanksgiving day long weekend, this was one of my favorite long weekends so far this year.

Here’s a shot (above) of me Anne took while I’m on the couch with my dinner just before I’m ready to tuck into those ribs. Don’t let that blank expression on my face fool you. I was really and am now happy. My wife is having a post Turkey nap with Boots and I’m full from that excellent dinner. Wish we had some beer to go along with it but I forgot.

Despite the Eskimo’s losing Friday night, I got my books this weekend and the Oiler’s won 2 games this weekend, I’m feeling pretty good about things. I even got up about 2pm having a good 10 hours sleep. This weekend, I’d rate it a 9.5. Outstanding.

Anyway gang, that’s about all for now

Jim
