Halloween has come and gone for an other year. My first Halloween without Pledges since I got him. While. I’m on the subject of cats Boots had left out of here about an hour ago. He’s out making his rounds.
October has been a hell of a month. First I meet Pat and Barry October 8th. Nice people. From Anne’s side of the family and while I had my memory work going on for the 15th as Oiler hockey season is just getting underway. Anne learned that her father’s health has deteriorated. Then on top of that the big story of the year having to put down Pledges. Out of that I was able to contact Mary and let her know. We had a great talk playing catch up. Then I get a cold that I’ve been struggling with for the last 8 days causing me lack of sleep etc. Then if that wasn’t enough Anne’s father passes away yesterday and I have a major tooth fall out on me.
I’m just about finishing “The Space Wolf.” About bloody time as one of the secondary characters would say.
Halo has never been a SF franchise that I’ve ever had an interest in but the novels of the same universe has been gaining in popularity. SF Signal today has released a first ever halo anthology. This is not fan fiction either. There are some big names to this forth coming anthology: Karen Travis, Tobias S. Buckle, just to name of few of the 18 authors contributing stories to this franchise. I’ve had some success with game books. My first was an Everquest book which I liked and I read another then I began reading my first Warhammer 40K book. So I’m going to look into this Halo anthology when it comes out.
Coast is having their annual Ghost-to-Ghost night. Saturday night/Sunday morning. This one is the first one without Art Bell. But later November 22nd is the 46th anniversary of the assassination of JFK and Coast usually has a great JFK night on. That’s on a Sunday night. Can’t wait for that one.
Anyway gang, that’s about all for now
