Kind of a weird day yesterday

That was a pretty good show for Monday night Raw. Actually it was a Thanksgiving day special. I enjoyed it. It was like a PPV.

I had a good night on the job but it took me half an hour before I got a sale. The list were using is being so beat up. I got a nice turnout of empties and a card sale. Brent Donaldson showed up making an appearance on the job. The Coyote’s/Edmonton game was on PPV at Rexall place Monday night. After the 2nd half it took me another half hour to get a sale but I got 2 cards and I ended up in 3rd place with $565 in sales. I paid Lance off but Warren wasn't there and I got some repaid loans I give out to other staff. Someone needs a dollar or something if I have it, I’ll lend it type thing. I resisted the need of the Tylenol all night but I was still in some discomfort and was happy when the shift was over. I got 3 cards for $60 and a decent total plus the empties. I had a seat by myself on the way home on the train and got my side side planting my bag of empties beside me and when I got into the apartment, I realized I had left them on the bus again! I got distracted from the 2 kids that ride back with me. Next time I’m taking the #11 bus. It leaves a few minutes later but at least I wont get distracted. This really had me mad.

Actually I prefer to take the #2 bus home from Corona station so I don’t have to ride back with anyone. But I’m not sure it goes to Clairview after 9pm from downtown. The only problem is it’s a longer ride and a blocks worth of walking. ok for the Spring, Summer and Fall seasons.

Looks like a nice day out there. I’m here having my first coffee, I feel alright and I’m ready to go for the rest of the day.

This afternoon, at 4pm I’ll be on the LRT heading downtown from Clairview for my daily commute. I’ve been wondering what’s being built beside the hotel/club fit property. Rumor has it saying it’s going to be a Swiss Chalet but there’s so far no sign on the back one can see from the LRT tacks as in the image below. That train is heading back downtown/South Campus. If my back feels better this weekend I’m going to go over there and take a look. My guess it’s a Max store or something like that but they’ve got a delivery door at the back. Could even be a dry cleaning service. I’ll try and take a photo through the train windows on my way in. It might not be a great photo. Google maps isn’t current enough to let me know what if anything is built there today. I took this photo on Mother’s Day, May 10th on our way for a mother’s day brunch. That’s the hotel behind the parking stalls. That mass amount of dirt is where this whatever it is building is going to be. There's a lot being squeezed in there.

My wife and I are night owls because our jobs are part time. I can work more hours then what I’m currently doing and I’m slowly starting to build up more hours. Last week I put in 25.5 hours. This week I’m going to put in 31.5 hours (hopefully). But because were night owls we’re able to stay up late. We’re usually in bed by 4am. For some reason again I couldn’t sleep. My back pain was bothering me slightly and I mentioned to Anne that having a board under the foam mattress (which is on top of the original mattress) might be the cause of this and maybe a board under the foam will help. Putting some pressure on my back helps. So she put this board, about a quarter inch thick under the foam and I tested it. Worked ok. But I was still unable to sleep. So I got up around 6:30am and watched a little Turner Classic Movies. After maybe half an hour of sitting on the couch I went back to bed and I was able to fall asleep ok even though I had to get up frequently to use the bathroom. I got maybe 4 hours sleep.

Well at least some good news, the Oiler’s finally won a game a home, against the Phoenix Coyotes last night, 4-0 about time.
