I'm a baby boomer sci-fi
geek with a laptop.

There's a 90% chance I'll be getting a new computer this week.

Pledges was taken into the pet crematory Friday and was cremated yesterday. It’s officially over. I’ll always miss Pledges and he will never be forgotten. We’ll be getting his urn in a couple of days.

Anne called about the laptop while I was at work last night and they didn’t have any in stock so they directed her to the South Side common location. They‘ve got 17 in stock! We’ll be leaving Thursday morning and we’ll be getting the router as well (fingers crossed) all before Lodge.

I had a great night on the job last night as we did a TD run for Magic. I ended up with $325 credit card sales but they wanted top total and card. I came in about 3rd for top total but I had more of it on cards, 9 cards to be exact. my ttoal was $800. I got beat by Warren for $75! That was a breakthrough card ammount wise. Not getting the bonus was kind of a let down though. Heading to the office it was like a sheet of ice out there and no different on the way back. I had to go extra careful out there. I got home just in time to watch Monday night Raw with mini me as guest host. On a scale from 1-10, I’d rate it about a 6.5.

Tonight on Coast the topic is about monsters and creatures but the best hour is the last hour with author Jim Marrs and Douglas Horne from the Assasination Records Review Board discussing evidence of a cover up in the JFK case. I’ll be listening to this and going to bed after that.

Still reading “Rainbows End” and it got me to thinking if this is a gateway cyberpunk book? Sure reads like it. I’m into the first 110 pages. Some parts are really an effort to read but the cyberpunk stuff I can get control of. It might take me the middle of this month, but I’ll finish the book.
