I had a decent day today |

My wife means well and all but when she began to “clean out the clutter” in my office (my organized chaos) as it were, everything got moved around. My external hard driver back up cd being one of the casualties in her clean up phase has been vanished to realms unknown. Without the cd to install on this computer, my new laptop I can’t back up these files and or even transfer the other ones around to this new computer. That was a 500 Gb hard drive that’s barely 6 months old. It’s not the cost of the $150 device that bothers me but now I’ve got to go out and buy another external hard drive. The good news is that these devices are relatively affordable.
I’m currently at the halfway point of “Rainbows End.” Its not a bad book but in some places it‘s hard to follow. I‘ll finish it until the end but it‘s a story that‘s an effort to read. No more cyberpunk.
I slept in late this afternoon but was able to get an hour or so worth of reading in on “Rainbows end.” We had the Oiler/Blues game on. Work went well as I pulled in about $620 and $125 in cards. I wished the boss a merry Christmas (having to sign for my pay check) as he‘ll be at the office Christmas party but I’m not able to attend. By the time I get home it‘ll be 5:30pm and by the time I shower and shave and clean up and out the door it‘ll be 6pm and after waiting for my train and getting downtown I wont get there to the place until 6:45pm-ish or so. These things usually get out of hand anyway. The music’s loud and it‘s not my thing.
Since Anne gave me my “allowance” earlier I didn‘t have to go up to my bank and I could go straight in to Audrey‘s for my book. Of course I was busy collecting any remaining empties and watching the finale 3 minutes of the hockey game as the Oiler‘s were down 3-1 but they came back to tie the game and took the lead 4-3 with 3 minutes remaining but I had books to buy, well at least one.
I picked out book to of “The recluse” series then got Trevor to order me the first 3 and the Omnibus of Mercedes Lackey “Valedimar” series and the train back to Clairview and home. Anne was cleaning up and tonight it‘s tacos and a bit of news and some wrestling. That‘s all for now.
