It's been pretty busy as we're leading up to the Christmas break |

By my standards at least my shift wasn’t that great. I think I ended up with a paltry $460, Gerry said I was also in the middle of the pack. So to speak. I got 2 cards for a total of $60. Also I was able to watch some of the Oiler’s game hosting Saint Louis. Now the Oiler’s share last place in the Western conference. The 2nd worst team in the league. Now, the title “The Oiler’s suck,” can actually mean something. I got a bunch of cans and empties to take home even though my night wasn’t that great. I’d say I was a bit stale. Even Oiler fans boarding the train at Rexall place were in a dower mood. When I left at 9pm the Blues were in the lead 5-2.
I thoroughly enjoyed Monday night Raw last night. On a scale of 10-1, I’d rate the show a solid 9. It was fun especially the ending. Very entertaining. It kind of made up for the lousy Oiler performance.
One of the first things I’m going to do in January once my bills are paid off is to open up a pay pall account with my bank. I’ve never bought anything online before even though my wife uses her online banking account all the time. But for my purposes I’ll be purchasing books and such on Amazon and Ebay. I’ve seen a lot of books and other items I’d like to pick up.
The locksmith knocked on our door at 8am this morning and gave us a knew lock to the front door and also retrieved from the caretaker Anne’s pouch and house keys. Who ever had the keys had all of Sunday to make a copy. The locksmith said he’d be back soon because he had to get a work order from the caretaker. He did that and re installed a new doorknob/lock for us and left but we couldn’t get the dead bolt to work. Anne was fast thinking enough to get the guy in the stairwell and after about a half hour of tinkering he got the lock to work properly for us. Now whoever stole her keys Saturday night had all day Sunday and Monday to make a copy but now the apartment key is useless to the thief. We feel better about this.
We’ve got another snow day out there today. It’s cold, overcast and about minus 14 degrees. Anne’s out and about doing some shopping with out bus pass. She needs to be back soon because we both have to go to work tonight. I’ve got a slight change in plans as I’m working Thursday morning, Christmas eve so I can get my pay check and maybe get a chance to get some banking in and get my wife something for Christmas. With any luck I should have both my bills covered before the middle of January. Anyway, that’s all for now.
